Both Manu Chao and SCI are friday acts that would be potentially playing at the same time. Both are very popular and I have this terrible feeling that they will get scheduled at the same time....that 5ish time slot is always littered with huge bands (friday '06: oysterhead, death cab, skaggs, cat power, randolph) I have no idea what I would see if this happend...any predictions of how they'll schedule that one?
I was thinking of checking out Manu Chao, but I don't think there is an act out there that could keep me from seeing what will probably be my last String Cheese show.

These are all scary thoughts but no one really knows. We just have to wait and see. Last year Les, Medeski, and Cypress Hill were at the same time, I heard about a half hour of each band. It will work out!!!!!

i used to like STS9 a lot.... but after a while you realize that they really aren't that special. Still fun to see every once in a while.
You must have not seen them much recently because they are at the top of their game right now. I mean killing it. The new years run was outrageous this year. And they just got done with a 5 night Boulder run in which they didnt play any repeats.

yea late nite manu chao could be a real possibility, i didn't even think about that...then it wouldnt be during cheese, and it would draw a slightly different crowd than STS9

Please roo bring back the smaller stage latenight spot that Trey and Primus rocked into legend. Seriously this stage would be prime for a Manu Chao Fri and Flips Sat.

how do you kno they are doin latenite, it seems crazy they would put them and STS9 at the same time...and why would mule and STS9 have latenite annoucned and not cheese, thats what makes me think its not latenite
I know if this conflict ever came up it is all about the SCI. I would love to see them latenight though. If it was late night i would hope above all hope 'river trance' gets played

I find it highly unlikely that String Cheese plays at 8. That's just about when the headliner is starting on Friday night, so they would overlap. I don't doubt that's what String Cheese has on their website, but it's probably just a general starting time for those sets that are TBA. I will also be shocked if Manu plays during the day, given his light/stage show.

True we don't really know. But it seems like a general starting time would be Thursday, since most artist pages would have that listed. But you're right though, unless it's on the website nothing is for certain.
