Let's not forget Adrien Belew's appearance with Primus in 2004. That was NUTS! Thela Hun Ginjeet, The Lone Rhinoceros, and Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers...that was too good.
In addition, Mr. Belew has those last few albums, Side One, Two and Three, on which Claypool and Danny Carey from Tool were his rhythm section ( I don't think they were on Side Two though.) If Tool was to have any collaboration onstage, I would lean towards Adrien Belew, keeping in mind his personal history with King Crimson opening for Tool and his vicinity to the Roo living in Nashville.
Belew came out with Primus in 04, hes no stranger to Roo. I'd like to see a power trio slot. More than that i wanna see a Belew/ Carey/ Claypool supejam!
Adrian Belew played with Umphrey's McGee for 4 shows in Chicago, Michigan and Ohio (I think) recently. I missed them... but he'd be a sweet addition to Bonnaroo by himself, and another jam with Umphrey's assuming they get added later.
Robert Fripp is doing some international touring in April and June. I really doubt they'll be a King Crimson revival any time soon.

It sucks because Belew and Fripp were to do a tour together a few months ago starting in Nashville, and like a week before it started an important person died (I think on Adrien Belew's side...maybe his manager) and they cancelled the whole thing. I was excited because those guys were playing the Mercy Lounge, and that place is SMALL. Wouldv'e been awesome.
Power trio show from Adrien would be great, and a Superjam w/ Carey and Claypool would RIP.

I'd love that. However, Belew said they are on a brief hiatus and are planning on returning to the studio this coming September, so there isn't a big chance that'll happen.
though I much prefer the line up of Fripp, Whetton, and Bruford, any way to get Robert Fripp is a definate highlight to me. Especially with either Eno or Crimson.
I got to see them as a six-piece on the H.O.R.D.E. tour back in the 90's. They opened that day - good thing I got in early!
KC is one of my favorite bands ever. They were the first (prog) rock band I listened to that didn't follow the same-old song structures. Oh, to hear "Starless and Bible Black" live...
