Chris Thile & the How to Grow a Band

If Bonnaroo decides to (and in my honest opinion, need to) add some more bluegrass bands to the lineup, then this band would be a perfect fit. Chrisl Thile, the mandolinist and singer of Nickel Creek, and his band are flawless. Seriously. Check out this clip of them playing 'morning bell' by Radiohead. Words can't describe.



But anyway, if you guys haven't heard Thile's latest solo album with this band, and you're into progressive newgrass, then you should definitely check it out.

I think I'd rather have Nickel Creek, since I don't know if they'll ever get back together after their split. That being said, I'd still be thrilled if CT was added. A real virtuoso on that mandolin

Well the way I see it, if Thile did play at Bonnaroo with his How to Grow a Band, I think that he'd play a set with Nickel Creek too, just cause their touring. I don't think Thile's band would have any problem coming out and playing a set at Bonnaroo. I'd go absolutely nuts if Nickel Creek and Thile's band played. Nothing would be better.
