great news!! i was wndering if sobriety would have an effect on the music. i also wondered if the music would have an effect on the sobriety. sounds like good news on both fronts. did you see any tapers?? even though i cant make it to langerado i am excited as hell to get some new festie shows to listen to.
At least 3 tapers rigs. Matisyahu was just hanging in the crowd watching.
I don't think Trey missed or flubbed a single note. It was dead spot on. And some of the extended jams were just raging. Damn it feels good to have him back.
Set I: Shine, Money Love and Change, A Case Of Ice And Snow, Simple Twist Up Dave, Ether Sunday, Dark And Down, Dragonfly, Gotta Jibboo Set II: Tuesday, Spin, Mr. Completely1, Small Axe, Cincinnati Encore: Push On Til the Day
1 with percussion jam
heres the setlist for those interested. im glad there was tapers. cant wait to hear it!!!
matisyahu is holding a traditional shabbat service with the crowd tomorrow before sundown. even if you're not jewish, it's something worth experiencing especially with matis. I wish I could be there, hopefully some of you will be there for me l'chaim
nice. considering hes got money he will probably be able to wiggle his way around his legal troubles and perhaps stop by manchester for us. i would be happy

Don't wanna be a downer here guys, but I remember reading in an article last year, that even though some bands have been really big for Bonnaroo, they just can't have them there every year. The article pointed out Widespread as an example from last year.
That being said, Bonnaroo might not have a place for Trey this year? Maybe he would show up and play with someone, but they just might not have him signed to do his own thing this year. If they can turn down Widespread one year, I have no doubt they may have turned down Trey this year. I for one hope he is there, even if it is only a guest spot, but don't get your hopes up.

true but trey seems more open to other time slots. wsp seems to be headliner or nothing. it could go either way. but i think trey will be announced.
Trey and any of his bands can only play two, maybe three different time slots, and this is stretching it.
The way I see it, he is either a headliner, or late night, and maybe preheadliner. If he plays preheadliner, I could see him being added. He will not headline, and I do not see him playing late night for the third year in a row, unless superjam involves him again. Honestly the only way i see him preheadlining, is if he plays solo acoustic.

I'm really happy to hear that sober (By that I mean opiates) Trey is back. I saw the Superjam set and Oysterhead sets last year and he played great but I could tell something was up. I want him to be there so I can see him clean (To an extent).
Hey, as soon as you guys find a bootleg of this show can someone post a link to it or sumthin. I'd really love to hear it. I keep hearing good things about it.
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), The Soul of Man Under Socialism
"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
I mean so far you have no MMJ, MMW, Trey, Robert Randolph or Les. I know they're trying to expand their musical pallette, but leaving off all those acts would seriously begin to piss people off. Personally I would be shocked if a minimum of two weren't added.
no we don't. i saw him at the revolution and at langerado last week and neither show was great. the langerado show was much better than the revolution show, but trey needs to get his life together and then comeback with Phish because honestly TAB sucks
Geez after seeing that youtube video just re-affirms my belief that we don't need a Trey addition.....or maybe we do so the crowd at a good show would be thinned out a little and you all that are into it can listen to noodling and bad vocals for 2 hours..........don't get me wrong, Trey is a great guitar player when he's playing with someone else's band but that was aweful imo.
