They were on my list of bands to see last year but it just didn't happen. I've been listening to them more and more since the roo and I'm kicking myself for missing them now. Their website has dates through March overseas and then a festival show in England in August - I suppose anything is possible.

I missed the first half of their set last year because I got too drunk Saturday morning and wandered all over the place, so I only saw half, but what I remember, I think I had a good time, the pictures seem like it...
I saw them open for Bright Eyes at the Ryman in Nashville last year. I thought they were GREAT! I had not heard of them before and I was enthralled with their music and use of interesting instruments. Would love to see them again!
I caught the magic numbers last year on Saturday morning and for me they were the perfect "I just woke up but have a little buzz and this music rocks" kind of set ;D
Anyway, I definatley liked their set and their first album, and they just released a new one and from what I've heard it's more of the same and I really enjoy it. It's just not what you hear everyday.
They were actually one of the bands I promised myself I wouldn't miss, and they didn't dissappoint! Their song "Forever Lost" and the Super Furry Animals "Hello Sunshine" done during Bright Eyes set were my two "Bonnaroo" songs for 2006.
*Edit to add* Tuesday Starbucks will be selling a new cd KCRW covers become ecelectic or something and Magic Numbers cover Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" it's awesome! Oh, and Damien Rice covering "Creep" by Radiohead is great too!
