i really think lupe fiasco would be a good addition to the line-up. he really fits the bill for bonnaroo. we need more rap in the lineup and i dont think they'll dissapoint.
plus, the roots are playing, and he is currently touring w/ them.
oh, and i think busdriver would be a good add also.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

I went to the Roots concert last night and Lupe was the opener. Honestly, I was really disappointed in his performance. Although this is unlikely, any of last years hip-hop performers would kick ass.

I saw him do Daydreamin on letterman or something like that and i thought it was good. I dont think seeing someone as an opener is really a good way to judge their show. I mean TMV sucked when they opened for RHCP, i think bands just dont give it their all if they arent headlining the tour. I'm guessing he probably didnt have a string section or Jill Scott if he was just opening.

Good point, I should give him another chance. Karma for your openmindedness.

i would looooove to see Lupe at Bonnaroo, he's already confirmed for Lolla. His album was one of my top five from last year, absolutley flawless production. If you dont own it, you should.

I was gonna go but between the time I learned about the show and the time I got paid they sold out...

Saw him open for The Roots in Austin and recorded the show. I had only read a little about him prior to that day. Never heard the album but the live show was not very good. A lot of Hip Hop doesn't translate well to a live show. The acts I have seen that can do it right: roots, J5, beastie boys, kid beyond, doomtree, digable planets, beat junkies

check out common, madlib, or anyone from the stones throw label. they'll hook it up
i agree. Atmos is the truth. Common is awesome too, but if hes gonna do a bunch of "Be" tracks like last year, no thanks. gimmie some "like Water for Chocolate" or "Can I borrow a dollar" and now were talkin. i hope he even still remembers those lyrics.
but as far as Lupe goes - i think he works very well with what BOnnaroo is about. plus, hes just that kind of act that would get booked. in other words, to me a Lupe addition seems likely.
