I just read about these guys and picked up their album. They are from Philly as I am, but I had never heard them before. Great, great stuff. And low and behold, I see they are playing Roo. Their new album is really well done. Check it out. I just got very excited to see them playing Roo.

I seen them when they played at Bonnaroo two years ago and they put on a pretty good show. It was one of the smallest crowds I have ever seen at Bonnaroo (since everybody and there brother were checking out Matisyahu). I had no problem walking right up to the front of the stage. Even seen most of MMJ in the crowd checking them out.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Not sure who writes the songs in the band, but the songs are great. I would not be surprised to see these guys get a lot of buzz this year. Their album is getting great reviews.

Yes, their '05 show was a blast, especially (yet sadly) because hardly anyone was there. I'm glad that Superfly has enough faith in their talent to invite them back!

I saw them open for The Black Keys in Indianapolis last year...pretty good band/show.
Yeah i saw them open for the black keys in Birmingham. They put on a great show. Unfortuntately the crowd wasn't into them or the black keys i don't honestly know why the hell half the people were there in the first place. Was a great show besides that.
I was at my local independent CD store today looking for Dr. Dog's new one. I staring at the D's (Dr. Dre, Dr. Hook, etc.), when the guy who works there came up to me. "You looking for Dr. Dog?" I said I was and he said they are all out, they have more coming in on Monday, and that I was the third one in this morning looking for it. Whood a thunkit?

Does anyone still have an '05 schedule? I remember that I wanted to see them as I'd been enjoying Easy Beat so much, but I didn't as there was some conflict, can't remember who.
[Any Rex the Runt fans here? Look everybody, It's Dr. Dogg.]

when i saw them two years ago at the roo, i was like 10 to 15 feet from teh stage and i was laying down the whole time except for the really rocking songs, and i saw every thing on stage at all times whether i was on my feet dancing or laying down in the hay. very good times, im really excited that they are returning, now if only we could get lucky with bonny prince billy who is on the same record label
man i just downloaded thier new cd off Emusic , i was kinda forced to basically, b/c of well them being on bonnnaroo lineup, and Rollingstone of all people raving about them every chance they could get...well its quite a good surprise!! It kinda reminds me of Hunky Dory era bowie a bit, especially in the vocals. Its quite good. It brings you back...
