I have an awesome boot from a couple months back of "The Dave Rawlings Machine," which is nothing more than Gillian and David, but lordy is it great. They handle the traditional songs, but also take on songs by OCMS and Ryan Adams that Rawlings cowrote. Their performance in 2004 was like a breath of fresh air -- cleansing even.

The Welch/Rawlings show from a couple roo's back was terrific. The only problem was some loud bass-bombs from a nearby tent. It seems to me that they did a better job last year of keeping the quieter sets in that farthest tent. Hopefully they'll continue that trend - I'm quite looking forward to the folk/bluegrassy element this year.

Wasn't it SCI bleeding in? I mean, I'm sure there were multiple acts that were adding to the mess, but from what I remember, they were the main offenders.
