Who has heard these guys/would like to see them added? They are so chill and yet fun at the same time, I think they'd make a great addition. If you haven't heard it, pick up their album "Writer's Block" or download the single "Young Folks."
I caught the song where they whistle on Subterrenean the other day and I really liked it. It had a stick in your head type melody just off the first listen. I guess that I will have to check out their stuff. It sucks though, with all the bands that I want to listen to for Roo, it pushes back listening to non-roo bands. As it has been said before, this has been a great year for new music, and we are just halfway through February.
I still can't figure it out. Is there a chick in the group? Sounds like a chick singing on that Young Folks tune... which is a catchy song. Is the rest of the CD that good ?
I saw them on Conan and at first I thought it was a joke. A bass and drums, and a guest on some weird little percussion instrument. I hated it, but kept watching, and progressively you're right, it is infectious. But a whole set with just a bass and drums and whistling? No thanks.

Keep in mind, that is one song off an entire album.
I would, but from what I've read it's a bassist, a drummer, and a singer. For me there's not enough in that to keep me interested. I can take guitar and drums, to me it's a more versatile instrument, but bass wouldn't do it. Plus, they weren't exactly virtuosos. That song was good, but I can't see myself going through an hour of it.

Man, PB&J are kickass. Isaac, I am guessin you would really dig em actually. I mean, the White Stripes aren't boring or stagnant and they have nearly the same format...
Actually, the singer plays guitar and harmonica (and whistle), the bassist also plays keys and then you have the percussionist. Like I said, Young Folks is an acception.
