Tool Tour Postponed After Drummer Injury Tool February 22, 2007, 10:30 AM ET Katie Hasty, N.Y. Fans who bought tickets to Tool's upcoming spring tour will have to wait a little longer see the band live. The outing has been postponed indefinitely after drummer Danny Carey tore his bicep, requiring surgery.
According to Tool's Web site, the procedure "went well" but Carey will not be recovered in time for the planned start of the tour on March 15 at the Pearl in Las Vegas. Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.
The tour was to keep Tool on the road in North America through the end of April. It is expected the band will be able to honor a previously announced co-headlining appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in mid-June in Manchester, Tenn.

After hearing about Danny's injury yesterday, and having one of my wisdom teeth pulled out today, I thought this was going to be a miserable weekend! But your post and some vicodin have changed all of that!

this is the best news to wake up to! please let's all hope for a speedy recovery and an awesome performance at rooooooooooooooo (although if the first thing happens, the second DEFINITELY will)

Tool To Reschedule Updated 08:49 PST Thu, Feb 22 2007
As reported on Tool's official web site, the band is rescheduling its North American tour due to an injury in the band. Drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep last weekend and underwent surgery February 21. The band said he is recovering well and the rescheduled tour dates will be announced shortly. The group, which has been touring almost constantly since releasing 10,000 Days last April was scheduled to launch its first U.S. trek of the year with two shows in Las Vegas March 15-16. The original routing included stops at nearly 30 arenas and stopped in many cities the band did not cover on its last North American trip. Tool is still scheduled to headline at Bonnaroo, which takes place June 14-17 in Manchester, Tenn.

well i took a stab and emailed bonnaroo's myspace page asking about tool at roo.....i did this last night before billboard made that statement. here was my email
please tell me that this news of tools drumer tearing his bicep isnt forseen to have any affect on their bonnaroo performance

Damn... I can't believe I had a Paul d'Amour flashback last night. I gotta quit eating these god damn xanex. Justin Chancellor has been Tool's bassist for over 10 years. lol...
Same source I originally heard this from (about his arm being hurt) just recently said the shows from April 10th on will still happen. I guess this injury was minor in the scheme of things.

this rumor is from a different poster on the rope. the original poster had history on the site however this is a first time poster...
