Ok..having never been before I am wondering when do you find out what group is playing when. Still trying to figure out the logistics of how much time off we will be able to take. I would hate to miss out on anyone I was really excited to see so I want to plan our travel accordingly. So, for example, when would the big headliners play..Friday night????
Thanks all for the info..this site is more than useful for someone who has not been before!

They have a headliner each night...Fri/Sat/Sun. They have a block all to themselves, on the mainstage, from 8pm to Midnight. After midnight the music resumes on multiple stages until the sun rises, except on Sunday night when the headliner closes out the festival.
The Police are already confirmed as the Sat headliner, Tool presumably on Fri, and WSP on Sun...though there is also a possibility of more music in previous years on Thursday as well, with the outside chance at a 4th headliner that night.
like he said the lineup wont come out until may. but lots of bands have it on thier webiste. heres a link to the current assumed schedule. the first post has it by day and that first post is updated as new info comes out.

I would take off thursday through monday from work/ school, either leave wed. night or thursday morning really early, that'll give you time to get there sometime thursday and relax and get set up. thats probably the best schedule.
if you can afford to wait a bit longer before solidifying plans, i would do so. i'm starting to buy into the 'full day on thursday' theory and if thats the case, you'll probably need wednesday too.
as to the actual band set times, if you want to see the 2006 set times i think its on www.jambase.com that'll probably give you an idea of overlaps, first show of the day, last show of the day, headliner set times, etc.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
