I don't know about you guys, but to me, Ted Leo is the definition of 'indie rawwwk'. Am I the only one hoping he ends up at Bonnaroo? What with a new CD coming out, there's a slight chance. Plus, he puts on one hell of a show.
I normally don't post in 'wish list' threads, it seems that AC/Superfly do the right thing every year anyway, but TL/Rx are one of the most under-recognized talents around. Channeling the spirits of Joe Strummer, Jerry Dammers and Billy Bragg, they have an amazing live show and all three are highly impressive instrumentalists.
Since we're in wishing mode, how about a Ted Leo acoustic set on the Sonic Stage? Never heard him acoustic, but I bet he'd be great.
Oh yeah, the opening guitar riffs of both songs are very similar...
I saw them at the P4K Music Fest last year and Ted rocked so hard he got a bloody forehead. It was nuts. I'd love to see them again, but I just don't see them playing Bonnaroo though. I think Ted prefers smaller fests and clubs; i.e. more intimate settings. Just a gut instinct.
