The Beasties have been a long-rumored Bonnaroo possibility. They were just announced as one of the headliners for Sasquatch (Memorial Day weekend), which makes me think we could see them added...especially given the lineup's current lack of hip hop. Thoughts?
The Beastie Boys would be insane. I've wanted to see them for the longest time. They'd instantly vault to #1 as the act I'd most want to see play late night.

i can deffiantly 100% see them playign roo. the onyl thign is i don't knwo if i could see them not headlining, and is roo ready for a hip-hop headliner? i say yes, but its up for debate

Really? I dig the Beasties. I'm 26, grew up with em, and used to be a huge fan.... But they have definately lost relevance in the past few years IMO. I would still love to see em at Roo. Personally, I think a daytime set is more suiting...
I don't think Sasquatch competes directly w/ Roo....plus WSP is "headlining" Langerado, Wakarusa and Bonnaroo...so I think the Beasties could realistically be at 'Roo. Not saying it'll happen, but there's a chance...

For those that couldn't get into 5 Burroughs, don't worry about it. The few songs they did play from it on 04 sounded great and the show overall was unbelievable.

It would seem that this would be the perfect year for the Beastie Boys to ROCK Bonnaroo, but they would have to travel from Europe and back. They would have to play the 15th probably in order to make it back to the Efes Pilsen One Love Festival in Istanbul June 17.
It would be SICK though.
They would either play the main stage before the headliner or late night on Which Stage, which would be even hotter.
I just see them doing it purely for logistical reasons.
