Anyone else here stoked to see him here??? Not much talk about him yet. I missed most of his set at lolla last year (stupid friends) caught the end when he did "Clandestino" (which i was very happy about ) I dont have any of his albums although i'm getting the live album when i get money, which so far from i heard sounds out of this world.

lol, that was weird, I just deleted my thread so I'll post in here. I totally agree with you on a late night set, maybe on the second stage. I can't wait to see him though.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
my prediction is Manu Chao and Flaming Lips are going to blow the lid off of bonnaroo. those two are gonna be a good ol party!!!! here's hoping they get late night sets! ( on different times/days of course)

i would bet money on Manu Chao being either on the What Stage or the Which Stage during the daytime. For the last 2 years, everyone listed in the first 3 lines of the artist list has appeared on one of these two stages.
I've been listening to Esperanza all morning of a buddy's Ipod and this is going to be great! Manu Chao has gone from someone I heard a little bit about, to a must see for me. This stuff is going translate so well live, it is going to be a great party.
At first I wasn't familiar with Manu Chao, but I previewed his music on his myspace site and I will definitely look forward to it! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

I just watched a clip from the Fuji Rock Fest in 2002 of them doing Bongo Bong - and wow I think their set (scheduled properly) is going to be a highlight of the weekend. I love it when I'm I'm almost completely unaware of a band until roo shines a light on them for me and they turn out to be this good.

Saw them at lolla. It was crazy! It was quite the dance party! I really hope nothing conflicts with him, but if so, at least I saw his first u.s. appearance in 6 years!
ive never heard of him and after I saw him on the linup i bough Clandistino and I was blown away. This is why i love fests like ROO. It is a great way to discover new music that the cookie cutter clear channel owned farce that refuses to play anything unique because there to busy looking at demographic pie charts, setting strict playlists and listen to competing station so they can play the exact same songs.
Ummm. sorry about that. I didnt intend to post a rant about radio stations but I coundt stop. Sorry about the amazingly aweful run on sentence too, when i get mad my writing skills tend to suffer as a result.

Can't wait to see him Jam (Please no Conflicts is right)......Got his 1st CD like 9 years ago, "Esperanza"...never would have thought I would get a chance to catch him live.....Roo keeps me guessing every year with sick artists :-)
