I LOVE moe. That being said, unless they get a late night, I do not want them there. I saw there whole set last year, and it really bothered me. Biggest let down of the weekend for sure. They had two hours to rock balls to the wall before Phil went on. Instead, they played a set that can be summed up as, how many songs can we fit in two hours? The only major jam was Brent Black. Even their long drawn out segues were gone. Instead we had abrupt quicker segues to fit more songs in.
When I see moe. I go to see jamming, not this:
Crab Eyes, St. Augustine, Wind it up, Tailspin> Kids> Down Boy> Kids, Tambourine, Brent Black> Tailspin, Wicked Awesome> Rebubula
Encore: Blue Jeans Pizza, Spine Of A Dog
Seriously they played more songs in this 2 hours, than they play at some of their own 3+ hour shows. Sorry to rant, but I love this band, it just that I hate the fact that they basically changed their normal ways to try and get more fans. They are a jamband. Nobody would have found it out of the ordinary for a jam band to jam.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

i don't know, with being on the what stage last year, i don't see them playing the what stage again this soon, plus with widespread and cheese already, i'd love to see moe late night, on an opposite day other than cheese, should cheese get a late night, but how many great late nights is too much, there is already so many good possibilities, and the conch is a pretty good album, they seem like the underdogs in the jamband scene
i don't know if i'd go that far dude. they do organize/put on 3 of their -own- multi-day festivals. that's not what i think of when i picture an underdog.

I think its pretty unlikely moe. will play this year. They are doing a lot of "off" dates, ie. dates where the band's fans will have to either pay extra, or go to some great lenght, to see the band. They did a cruise, they are doing Japan, they have Summer Camp, Langerado, and the inevitable moe.down, which suggests to me that they will do some straight touring so that the band's fans who can not make the "off" gigs will actually see them. Also, they took '05 off because roo couldn't get them a better time slot that '04, and unless they headline, or get the small stage for latenight, they can't attract a bigger crowd than they did last year.
i'm thinking the same thing. i'm ok with it though cause i'm going to my first moe.down this year! ;D
woohoo! great site, great people, you're in for a great ride just bring -tons- of rain gear, though i think the 3 days of almost constant rain last year were an aberration...some tropical storm that was blowing up the coast at the time.

sorry had to say it again, god I love moe. !!! Wish I had the money to follow them for a bit, I love that crowd! moeRon for life..haha...Wonder how much longer we will have these guys around for?
By the way, the show here in Jacksonville they are playing at Freebird live is going to be solid, the place probably only holds like 750 people, great venue (small town kinda college bar feel) upstairs and downstairs.
Freebird Live: 3/8------moe. 3/9------MMW 3/10----Toots and the Maytals with Tea Leaf Green
i saw em play a 3 set monster in Atl at the tabernacle on this past friday. it was my second time seeing moe and they were great. first set was a coustic, laid back set and the next two were blow your mind electric sets. props

id love for them to be at roo again. but they would probably get another daytime slot. if they were a latenight i doubt id skip mule on sat or hopefully string cheese on fri. to see them. not after the announcement of the moe extravaganza at allgood. but id love to see them in the afternoon again even though like all shows its better with the lights!!
