after doing a little investigating of my own, it appears andrew bird has a page. wonder if this means it's just a matter of time before he's announced?
oh and i'd like to mention that i checked out some folks who've never played (and still won't?) and it says "You missed. The page you were looking for doesn't exist." interesting.

While this is interesting, the only way I could see that it could hold water is if you could find a band that has not played in the past that this works for... Otherwise I feel they are just prepping this stuff to fill out bios for the former years...

Aghhh. Probably a good call. But why wouldn't they just retain all of the bios and photos from last year? Why would only Bright Eyes and Andrew Bird (to our current knowledge) be left with photos and bios?

Well I could see them wasting that server space in order to show people who don't know much about 'Roo "hey, these are the type of acts WE have been able to book!"

There could be all sorts of ways to do Neil Young, perhaps it is with a band name or something like that, this also worked for James Brown, somehow I just can't see him coming this year.

Umm, they are doing that by listing the past artists. I cant see them throwing up 400-500 artists profiles just to show people "hey, we're hip"
This is actually worthwhile topic. Im not saying theres any huge revelation involved. Im just saying keep an eye on those profile pages before tix go onsale. If those bands are playing they probably will be updated and viewable before they go live, just like the initial artist announcements. Interesting news can always be found on servers before they go live.

Ah but if you hold a black light up to your computer screen on the Lineup page it shows a map of centeroo with a secret passage leading to the mythical Phish Reunion Stage.
I was playing around with this last night too after reading in the Andrew Bird thread. Like someone mentioned, James Brown has a page, albeit blank. Storing old bio pages costs next to nothing, so I don't think it makes sense for them to delete pages from the past. I think we're seeing past bands, but for whatever reason, it's not 100%.
Show me a band's page that has never played Roo, then I'll be impressed. But I have a strong feeling they've learned their lesson after the initial lineup leak.

Yea I think they are just adding bio's from the old bands because I tried www.bonnaroo.com/the-gourds and it worked but but all you get is a page with there name and no completed info (looks like an unfinished website) and they are someone who has not played roo in a few years and seems unlikely that they will be back within the next few (I really like them and it would be amazing if that were the case) but until I see a band that has yet to play then im still unimpressed but then again we do know they got some idiot web-designers so yea...

Regarding Neil Young, there is no page because he performed under the name Neil Young & Crazy Horse. That does have a page: www.bonnaroo.com/neil-young-crazy-horse

Also, Andrew Bird and Bright Eyes have complete pages because most of the '06 pages were carried over to this new format. Bonnie Raitt, Bill Frisell, Death Cab for Cutie and Seu Jorge all have complete pages as well (although Radiohead didn't).
i got really excited when i first read this...i tried james brown and he also has that blank page like mars volta and others.....and he unfortunately won't be there.
The Police, The Flaming Lips, and the White Stripes all made major announcements right around the Bonnaroo announcement/leak. Not all of them seemed necessarily related directly to Bonnaroo. The Lips announced they would be touring some, and the Stripes announced they were switching labels. In other words, if a major act that's been dormant for awhile suddenly has their publicity people kick to life a day or two before tickets go on sale, that might be a good clue...
