If you guys have looked at Panic's myspace page you know they have Thursday night at 8:00PM listed as thier roo slot.
What do you think? Is that legit? Are we going to get 4 headliners this year.
I really feel like Tool will play Fri night as tht is traditional for that type band. the Police have already said they are playing Sat night.
So if Panic plays Thur night, would it be feasible to see The White Stripes headlining Sun night? who else would it be. the Stripes have said they are playing on Sun, but haven't announced the time.
It seams to me that if that were the case, they shaould have the Stripes play Thur night and Panic close the fest on Sun night...
It is pretty cool that we may be getting 4 big headliners this year instead of the traditional three.

the thought of 4 headliners and 3 late nights makes me way too giddy for being at the office.... with the way the names are listed i am thinking we are having 4 headliners and we have yet to see the name of who is headlining sunday
wow! wsp on thursday would be insane. im still not sure. i doubt it. but i have hope now. but i see no way that the white stripes will close roo. that would be sacrilege. im excited to see them but no headlining in any fashion and certainly not closing roo. it gives me hope that the phil, bob, trey, and winwood thing is in the works. or possibly ben harper. that seems a more likely closer then the white stripes. or maybe weve got something huge in the works and they want to allow some time before they announce a huge headliner like floyd or phish. wouldnt that be something if the schedule came out and the superjam was sundays headliner??? and just having a headliner on thursday would be great... maybe a wednesday earlybird??? they had music on thursday when it was a 3 day fest, why not on wednesday for a 4 day fest??? well that adds a little excitement to my day.

Yeah, I can't see the Stripes closing Roo. We already have Bob there with Ratdog. Hopefully we will get Phil to show up and get some kinda Dead related Jam for Sunday.
I just CAN NOT see the Stripes beign given the Sun slot over Panic!! That Sun slot is always traditionally for Panic or some form of The Dead!! Can't change that..
IF the stripes were to headline, I think it ONLY works if it is on Thurs.
I love the white stripes and they're probably the band I'm most excited about seeing, but I just can't see them headlining for some reason. I see them taking a slot similar to beck last year...on the main stage right before the headliner; but this year's roo seems like it's going to be a departure from previous ones, so I really don't know.
maybe wsp on thursday and on sunday? that wouldnt be too shabby. id prefer to mix it up. wasnt impressed the last time wsp played 2 nights. but that was without herring. i could see that happening.
Hmm, that would be pretty interesting. I think I'd rather have someone new, though. I am excited to see WSP with Herring, but I don't need 7 hours of them.

Why would ou not want to see them? Have you seen them before?
can't stand jack white in any form, studio or live
LOL, jack's voice might be a bit odd, but this guy can play a mean mean guitar. I am not saying you should go out and listen to the band but if you are interested in Guitar players you might find his handy work n the strings impressive. It would be worth checking out, someones voice is a poor excuse when it comes to music. Especially when you have a guitar master like Jack....anyway, whats this thread about, and BTW, I really don't like at all Panic but I have seen them at Roo and enjoyed the show a lot. They are a good time, i'm just saying check it out, don't leave early just because you have a chip on your shoulder...

Jack white can shred with the best. He's also highly respected by a lot of very "important" musicians the most notable being Dylan himself. I dig the Stripes, the Raconteurs were more ehhhh for me. I'm excited though.

Now Dylan and The Band would be great but I dont know about Roo getting that to happen. I still hope that WSP is playing Sunday night to close of Roo. I agree that too many people would still be coming Thursday night and Friday morning and I know if I missed WSP I'd be pissed. Besides, last year I dont think any of the actual stages being used yet and I dont see WSP playing under a tent.

This is all very true, but the festival might be expanding more than any of us can realize and they might fire up the main stage for a little WSP headlining on Thursday...who knows though.

yeah, if they do decide to open the main stage thursday its also liekly that they'll announce another band to play thursday and have wsp close on sunday

To be honest I sure hope so. I would love to see a major show Thursday night but I dont know if I would want it to be WSP. I just remeber Toubab Krewe (I"ll say it once and I'll say it again, one of the best shows last year) just grooving thursday night and just getting everyone pumped for the weekend. So out of personal preferance I would like to see more of a nice groove band or so to get things rocking Thursday and then WSP steal Roo away Sunday night with an awsome show and a heartfelt thank you and goodbye.

I really don't think that there's anyway WSP wouldn't close out Bonnaroo. But they won't headline on thursday because other bands have put the same date on their sites too. For example, on Ween's myspace page, they have themselves playing the exact same time as WSP for that Thursday slot, so if WSP is headlining, other bands will be playing too. It's too early to tell, who knows if SF/AC even has the exact times set in stone yet.
well if weens myspace has it then id have to say its just the start of the festival and not when they are playing. no way that ween and wsp both play at 8 on thursday. so i guess were back to wsp closing it out.
