im really liking the possibilities of late night for this years fest. the flaming lips. ween. string cheese. galactic. bobby and ratdog. sasha & digweed. its gonna be good!
anyone who was there last year can tell you this, but there is absolutely -no- other time slot for Sasha (& Digweed) other than a very late night set lasting into the morning. drool
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

im hoping for the same thing. 3:30 on. that shit was awesome. hell saturday was awesome. radiohead>mike and the italians>masquarade ball>sasha. this year has greater possibilities. my buddy said that they will most likely play the same slot as last year cause thats usually when they like to play. if that makes sense.

Looking at the big names on the list, I think they need to make use of a stage late night. They didn't do it last year, but have done it in years past, and there are some great candidates for it. The White Stripes, Flaming Lips, and Manu Chao are all perfect for a big open starry sky.
there are so many to choose from that could latenight. im hoping for ween on friday and string cheese on sat. with lots of guests of course. but i could substitute rat dog or sts9 for ween and bee happy. i also think galactic will be a late night, probably filling the hip hop portion of the latenight.
I would think that Shadow and Sasha/Digweed are guaranteed late nights. They will probably do another hip-hop late night, which might have Galatic playing.
Bands that I think are likely to get a late-night or had one before - Ween, Flaming Lips, STS9, SCI, Brazillian Girls, Hot Chip, Girl Talk(this is a must do). Thats alot of late night competition for just two late nights.
And I might get nailed for this, but I really would have rather had the White Stripes as a Headliner (Friday night) and Tool as a late night special set. Although the White Stripes would be great as a late night as well.
Yeah STS9 has to have a latenight slot. They are just that kind of band. I honestly can't imagine a daytime set by them. I don't think it would be that enjoyable during the day.
STS9 WILL have a late night set and they will shread it up as usual and you will leave with you face hanging from you head, they are just that kinda band!!
i think either keller will have a daytime slot and will sit in for a good portion of a sci latenight. or they could share a latenight. alot of the artists featured on kellers new album are at roo. with guests a 5 hour sci/keller latenight could be incredble. bring out franti, bob weir, and bela fleck!!
