"Woman like a man" from b-sides is amazing. If I see him in Atlanta and he does not play that I will break stuff. He is playing the same night as Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. What a conundrum.

Lisa will be there, guaranteed! She's a very integral part of this tour he's doing for his new album. I don't know if you guys have seen him yet on this tour, but I saw him in Minneapolis in December and am seeing him in Kansas City in May. At the Minneapolis concert, she was singing almost every song with him and even had a solo performance. She'll be there, and I'll fall in love with her again, I love the way she sings. It's so eerie, yet beautiful.

where would we be without wishful thinking? i'd hate to be the pessimist but her presence is looking questionable as she hasnt been at the past three gigs

after rumors of Lisa quiting the band in Munich three shows ago, Damien dedicated a performance to her in Paris and wished her the best...
Wait a minute...what's this that you speak of with Lisa quitting the band?? Does anyone know if this is true?? Any sources saying that it is? Why did it happen??? I must know!

damn.........
official announement from damienrice.com
"Band update - 25 Mar 2007 After much thought and discussion Damien has decided that his professional relationship with Lisa Hannigan has run its creative course. As a result Lisa will not be appearing at any of the upcoming live shows. Lisa is embarking on her own artistic endeavours and there are no plans for them to work together in the foreseeable future. The current band on tour at the moment are - Damien Rice, Joel Shearer, Shane Fitzsimons, Tom Osander & Vyvienne Long"
Major bummer. Plus the release from Damien's website makes him sound like kind of a dick. ('Just to clear things up, I dumped her, not the other way around.') Maybe just some poor phrasing by an assistant but it definitely could have been more generously put.
