Flaming lips need to mix there set list up for Roo. I've seen them twice (about 6 months apart) and they played 90% the same show. And from what I've heard, they always play the same show. I love these guys so much, zaireeka is amazing, but I just don't get why they won't mix their setlists up. Given their artistic abilities and the fact they've been around for 25 years....they shouldn't play the same songs every show.

Late night for sure! They've done the pre-headline thing, it's time for them to conquer the late night --------- with WEEN. You know it's going to happen!

I hope Superfly is smart enough to realize that The Flaming Lips won't work so well on the huge stage in the blazing hot sun. It may be a repeat, but no other band deserves to repeat late night than the Lips (save possibly for TMV).
Late Night would be perfect, it hasn't disappointed me 2 years in a row now. Mars Volta in 2005, My Morning Jacket in 2006, Flaming Lips in 2007. Either them or the Stripes.

You are correct on all those. 2004 with Ween/Primus was badass too. Which brings me to my concern. With Flaming Lips being latenight in 2003 and Ween late night in 2004, I almost feel like they would be on the backburner for late night set dispersal. Anyone agree? Is there precedence as far as late night acts playing late in another year?
And so you know, I would love to see either/both late night. They both have the vibe for it.
Yeah Ive never really been into the flaming Lips (Ive heard their stuff just never something Ive invested alot of time in) bu in the spirit of Roo Ive been downloading alot of their stuff and Im super stoked.
I'm listening to the yeah yeah song right now and it brings me back to when i saw them last year. I cannot fucking wait for a late nite which stage set!!!
