Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The heads would be amazing, Garth i'm not too sure of, but something like "Willie Nelson and Freinds" would be huge if his friends are anything like the willie and friends concerts he has every few years, plus he'd bring up anyone playing at the fest he knows, all bonnaroo has to do is give him the cd/dvd rights...
as for more 'country'-ish performers i'd like to see steve earle or dwight yoakam at the fest sometime...
My personal wet dream is that bonnaroo somehow convinces Keith Richards to show up and play with tom waits... now there's a longshot headliner worth the price of admission alone.
I'd rather have all the hairs on my body plucked out with rusty tweezers than see Garth Brooks. He's the most corporate clown country singer out there, save maybe Toby Keith. He's got a contract with Walmart of all places. They get the exclusive Garth Brooks boxsets/dvd's etc. Maybe his alter ego would show up. I mean what was up with that.? Garth Brooks would "traumatize" me much more than Rage, NIN or RHCP. I just wouldn't go, if he was there. It would be a major step back, IMO.
I think I was channeling Keith in this post. Sorry

I don't know why anyone would want an ATDI reunion... TMV is so much better, it fills all possible needs.
uh, cause at the drive in freakin rocks, thats why!
Do yourself a favor, purchase any of the following Vaya, IN casino Out, or relationship of command. Totally different band & genre, but equally as impressive, and by far more influential. I absolutely love the Volta, but the reason I love them, is because I was a huge ATDI fan first. Anyone else?, or is everyone just Volta fans because of '05 Roo? ???
Couldnt make 05, and I was never a ATDI fan. My friends and I have this rabid obsession with finding new music, as a result we share alot of CDs we think the other would like. Back when the Tremulant EP came out one of my friends tossed me a copy of it. Like I said, I was never an ATDI fan. Actually I can just never really get myself into their studio stuff (Live, alot of it sounded great).By time I hit Eunuch Provacateur (Still my fav) I was hooked. It never EVER bothers me when people say they like ATDI more than TMV. The only thing that gets me is when I meet spiteful ATDI fans who buy Sparta CDs and say they're better than TMV. Thats rich.
But, on topic. One reunion Id love to see happen in the near future, but almost definetly will not happen is.....(drum roll)............
Soundgarden.
Audioslave is on "Hiatus", Rage is back and.......... Chris Cornell is recording another solo project . JK, I really enjoyed Euphoria Morning. I think Chris is a great songwritter, and arguably the best rock vocalist ever. But man, do I miss Soundgarden. While I dont think Soundgarden fits the roo scene I think theyd be embraced.
Ohh, and anyone in this thread talking about SXSW rumors should just completely ignore them. One of the big ones floating around was a Nirvana reunion with Ben Harper at the Helm or something like that. . Bloggers spending too much time on Shakedown.
edit: Ohh, and I almost forgot. Lets get Mr Daniel Johnston at Roo!!!!! Now thats a dream.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
i love Whiskeytown but it's not happening, although it's high time Ryan played Roo.
I would have killed to see the show in '05 where they had a semi-reunion in North Carolina. The Cardinals played their set, and then when they came out for the encore, it was Ryan and Caitlin playing some Whiskeytown material. Then later that night they went to another venue and were joined by Skillet Gilmore and played a full set of material with some of the Cardinals helping out. Ryan & The Cards really need to be at Roo this year. He's already said he's putting out multiple albums again this year, so at least we have that to look forward to.
i can't wait for those new albums. I heard he was re-recording The Suicide Handbook???
Yea, I saw that rumor too, but the person said they got the info from Neal, and after a quick e-mail to Neal, he said he had never heard of the person. So that kinda disproves that. And yea, seeing that set they played in a small bar would have been incredible:
Whiskeytown 06/08/05 - Slims Raleigh, NC
Dancing With The Women At The Bar Houses On The Hill Faithless Street Avenues Mining Town Midway Park Lo-Fi Tennessee Mountain Angel Desperate Ain't Lonely Jacksonville Skyline Excuse Me While I Break My Own Heart Tonight
*Ryan Adams, Caitlin Cary, Skillet Gilmore, Jon Graboff, Catherine Popper.

I would love Kristofferson to be there. Karma for that - if he is he'd definitely be top priority.
That actually reminds me of a band Id LOVE to see play Roo. Id like to see all 12 pieces (or so) of the Danielson Famile play at Bonnaroo. I think they'd fit into the vibe perfectly and most folks would really dig them. They sound great live.
For those of you who have never heard them, go try to find the album "Ships". It was released last spring and really suprised the hell out of me.

Fantastic idea -- I can only hope that they are there. Sufjan Stevens has worked with them recently. Perhaps Sufjan will also play 'Roo and join them during their set? Dreams...
