Yeah, I guess I'm not sure how having multiple threads on the same topic is a good thing.
If we didn't try to keep it tidy, we'd have eighteen threads proclaiming "NO PEARL JAM, BREAKING NEWS!" and a bunch of responses saying, "Look at the other seventeen threads below. This isn't breaking news." Then of course, we'd be wading through no less than 618 threads asking "WHO DO YOU WANT AT ROO, DOOD?!?"
It is just easy on the eyes if there is one thread about a certain topic and easier for the mods to monitor things. This is not really new though. We did this last year as well.
its good to keep it tidy but sometimes there is a thread about a band with 20 pages and if you want to start a thread about a different topic about that same band it would be preferable to have a new thread. those 20 page threads can be cumbersome to navigate.
but ya when its the EXACT same thread might as well just lock it.
also wouldnt it be standard for this thread to be moved to off topic? or whatever that board is now called.
i'm still not sure about the extra boards either, i guess its good to keep it organized but its also nice to keep it simple. no big deal thgough, i really dont care one way or the other, but maybe the festival and music sub-boards could be combined for instance, it adds an unneeded level to navigate through.
