With the news that they are starting to become more of a thing rather than a once every couple of year thing. Maybe we could see them at Bonnaroo. That would be killer.
Bustle In Your Hedgerow, the instrumental Led Zeppelin cover band featuring Ween’s Dave Dreiwitz, RANA’s Scott Metzger, and the Benevento/Russo Duo, has confirmed its first tour. The quartet will kick off a winter outing at Boulder, CO’s Fox Theatre on February 28, before making stops in Denver, Chicago, and Teaneck, NJ (the latter show will take place on St. Patrick’s Day). Bustle In Your Hedgerow first came together for a birthday celebration for New York concert promoter Jake Szufnarowski and has gigged on-and-off for the past three-years.
I haven't had a chance to download any of their live stuff, but if they make it to Missouri or Bonnaroo I'll be right there. When I've seen the Duo they haven't busted out the LedZep covers, so I'd love to hear those guys break 'em out.
Thanks for the education. My first reaction is that I can't see Roo booking a straight cover band but the Duo's covers are awesome. Have you heard their Paranoid Android?

I think they should make this a latenight set, and combine it with les claypools frog brigade playing floyd covers. Kinda like the umphrey's/disco biscuits last year.
Well Bonnaroo has booked strictly cover bands before. The Machine (pink floyd), Mr. Browstone (Guns 'N Roses) and Zoso (Led Zeppelin) were all at bonnaroo '03. I guess they could be called tribute bands but it's all covers. I think it would be awesome if Bustle showed up since it's somewhat of a super group.
Yeah, from what I can tell I wouldn't lump them in with other cover bands. Like you said, not only are they sans vocals, but they are also somewhat of a supergroup. I think I read about Jake Cunninger from UM playing a show with them, and if they were both at Roo I'd have yet another sh!t eating grin.

I saw them here in Chicago after lolla. They were were as hot and nasty as the abbey Pub was that night. I thought it woulda been a little bit better had they sang some vocals for the songs but instead it became sorta a sing along with the crowd if ya knew the words. Oh yeah it was Brendan Bayliss from Umphreys who stepped and supplied the lead guitar.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
Singing would kill it. Lets rephrase here they are not truly instrumental. I mean yes there are no vocals but the vocal parts are played on the organ if that makes any sense.
