ok so from my experience, 311 has a love hate fan base, i've seen them before and must say i wouldn't mind them at bonnaroo at all. how does everyone else feel?
311 puts on a great show that embraces many elements of Bonnaroo. They always mix up their setlists and they embrace diversity. Some of their open acts these past few years include Pepper, The Wailers, The Roots, Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Incubus, Deftones, G Love and Special Sauce, Zebrahead, Something Corporate. They also have a 311-day concert (March 11) every other year where they play a marathon set, usually 5 hours worth.
I think they would be a great addition to Bonnaroo.
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. So hit me with music. Hit me with music, now, yeah. Hit me with music. Brutalize me with music.
well i wouldnt be too excited about it. proabably go to something else. but i could see them fitting into the saturday afternoon taffic jam. maybe the cypress hill second stage spot.
Im not a big fan now but listen to them once in a while. I used to love them in middle school though, they were my first fav band, I had posters and everything... Mind you I just graduated from college and this was in 4th grade or so. But if they were there I'd check 'em out.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Huge 311 fan, caught maybe 20 shows or so of theirs all over the country. Would love to see them at Bonnaroo. Unity is one of their main themes they put off. Only thing that i would not like about it would be the moshing that i tend to see at every show of theirs. I am not a big fan of mosh pits and probably would really irritate me. 311 at roo without mosh pits would be great. Never really understood the point of a mosh pits anyways....??
