I keep hearing alot about the eagles lately. I think they are recording a new studio album for the first time in years. What do yall think of them at roo? Don Henleys name has been poppin up lately. He could also do a set with Bruce Hornsby. Last time I saw Bruce he did a sweet pink floyd cover. Waddya think!
id be down for hornsby. but i dont know about the eagles. i think id rather hear someonelse cover the couple of eagles songs i like. as crazy as that sounds. i wanna see hornsby open for the dead. and of course come back out for a few songs. or how about adding hornsby to the phil/scofield combo.

The eagles arent really someone i'd want to see at bonnaroo, or someone id be that excited about seeing at all. To me they're just a mediocre rock band.

I don't know...I got respect for that band, but they don't really do it for me. Also, I can't see them putting on that good of a show. Then again I'm biased so I could definately wrong. Eagles have "popular" all over them and I think all they'd do for 'Roo is give good vibes. But alas I guess that is one of the things that makes the festival amazing.....
*Note: I know how many diehard fans there are for this band. Please don't send me any hatemail. This is only my opinion.

joe walsh is very cool of course. and the eagles have some good songs obviously... that being said, i hate them. in a perfect world, the mighty SLAYER would kill The Eagles dead. is that mean?
Well being an Eagles fan, I would love to see them playing or possibly headlining. But I can also see the general Bonnaroo audience not get behind it, say like Petty last year. I actually think that you'd have a better chance of seeing Jackson Browne or(since we're on the topic of Asylum) Judee Sill rise from the grave.
If you're refering to Lebowski they did it in '04... it was amazing, big crowd, people cheering random moments...
"You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me. Hell, I can get you a toe by 3 o'clock this afternoon... with nail polish. These fucking amateurs... "
Man while I love some of the Eagles music, I don't think I could stand through a whole set, and I definitely wouldn't want to see them outside from a mile away in hundred degree heat. That being said, and for all the cheesiness and everything, hearing Hotel California live would probably make it all worthwhile. I hope they are a long, long way from Roo though.

I am not a huge eagles fan. They seemed to have a lot of stuff going now that would be line up well with Roo. (similar to Petty) Well for sake of the board hopefully it wont happen. But Guys"take it easy" ;D
