Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Sigur Ros would be nice. You could have them start and go into Mogwai or Mars Volta to finish the night.
How about a MMJ again. Seemed to work last time.
A hip hop tent with Tribe or Wu-Tang (they are supposedly reforming for a new album and tour - and this could be a 4 or 5 hour deal with GZA, Ghostface, Method, all doing their thing along with Wu-Tang)
Daft Punk or Underworld with maybe Girl Talk starting it off.
Man I think we should wait until the lineup is announced. I'd rather see hip-hop acts divided about. Also, I don't know much about them, but isn't Daft Punk really big? I've got the feeling their touring is very rare and their performances carry a lot of weight.

Galactic!!! I saw them at Soul Kitchen in Mobile and it was amazing. they played from 11 to 2 and the energy was just awesome. That would be an amazing late night show

Any of these bands getting a late night slot would make me extremely happy:
The Mars Volta Modest Mouse Sigur Ros Wilco Daft Punk Superjam (Involving Warren or Les or both!!!) Snoop Dogg Outkast Deltron 3030 (new album soon hopefully!) MMJ (no way they repeat though) Beck Mos Def & Talib

PORTISHEAD.
and an Aphex Twin/Squarepusher late night would be amazing too STS9, Galactic or Umphreys will always be nice Sigur Ros would of course be amazing as well, but I've seen them at a Festival and I've seen that at a Sigur Ros show (in a theatre) and it just doesn't compare.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I think Of Montreal would do a really good late night set, though they aren't big enough to be the only band. They would go well with someone like The Flaming Lips.
Edited because I forgot to mention that I would sell a kidney if Bonnaroo got The Knife for a late night set.
Wilco Barenaked Ladies (no laughing, I really think this would be great) My Morning Jacket (so good, I need more) Ryan Adams and the Cardinals Uncle Tupelo reunion (and then she woke up, but it was such a lovely dream just to imagine what the combined powers of Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar could create now that they've each grown so much as musicians)

Of Montreal was probably the most fun show I saw all year, and the new album that comes out in Jan. is great.

flaming lips into the mars volta. the happiest time of your life followed by the msot frightening. its brilliant really. sigur ros would be nice, i also think they'd be the perfect bonnaroo opener
Marrdest Mouse would be really cool for a late night set. Mars Volta would be really cool too.
Sigur wouldn't really fit I don't think. We have to keep in mind that the general knowledge base around music is a lot higher on this message board than the average Bonnaroo attendee. I think Sigur would get a lot of "boring" and "depressing" comments.

I think you underestimate how big they are. Alot of people would go for them alone, especially if they got a late night spot. Plus for the people who didn't know there are two other late night tents rocking at the same time. That being said, they did a US tour recently (Auditoriums) and each show sold out very very fast. So fast I couldn't get tickets !
That's true, I remember how quickly the most recent tour sold out. Right now, I'd just really like the Bonnaroo acts that aren't typical jam bands to be at least pretty easily accessible, because lord knows we heard enough bitching about Radiohead last year.
And just browsing through my iTunes right now, I think The New Pornographers would fit in pretty well in some sort of late night spot. I wouldn't be crazy about seeing them, but I think it would be appropriate. Same goes for Destroyer.
Oh, and some sort of drum n bass act would be really great for the "Sasha" spot. Preferably something liquid funk (London Elektricity, High Contrast, etc.). I know that's a bit of a stretch, but hey, a guy can dream, right? I think Pendulum would be the only drum and bass act who could really fill that spot. They would probably draw a pretty decent crowd.
And for all you who keep saying it, as much as I'd like to believe it, there's no chance for Daft Punk. I'll just throw a list out there of whom I would enjoy for late night sets:
Rock 65daysofstatic, Marrdest Mouse, Secret Machines, Tokyo Police Club, The Mars Volta, Minus the Bear, TV on the Radio, Tapes n Tapes, Built to Spill, Band of Horses, Liars, Metric, Ted Leo/RX, Interpol, The Arcade Fire, Massive Attack
Hip-Hop Girl Talk, DJ Shadow, Tribe, Clipse, Lupe Fiasco, CunninLynguists, Talib Kweli, Kanye, Twista, Nas
Other London Elektricity, High Contrast, Matthew Dear, Squarepusher, The Books, Sigur Ros

Late night? I'm seeing Mars Volta and Flaming Lips as almost definites. Sigur Ros, as well, would be nice.
Speaking of Sigur Ros, how about their polar opposite, Godspeed You Black Emperor?
Others I would like to see doing late night include: And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead Arcade Fire Girl Talk Decemberists Les Savy Fav The Stooges Hold Steady Interpol Lou Reed Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Okkervil River Patrick Wolf Wolf Parade
I'm sure they'd have to share the tent with another band, but the Black Keys would tear up. The guys are pure energy, have played before, and have a new album out since the last Bonnaroo. That would put such a huge smile on my face.

I hope Wilco plays late night. I think that would draw a sizeable chunk away from some of the other, much better acts playing. The Lips would be awesome, though I doubt I could get within a mile of the tent, so I'd probably take advantage and check a less attended show out.
