What bands that played this year are going to be back next year? Will My Morning Jacket make it 5 years in a row? What bands from thursday night will move up to the weekend shows?
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

The Motet, MMJ, Bright Eyes, Buddy Guy, I-Nine, Matisyahu, Elvis Costello, among others...some bands i would like to see there are: 3 (a progressive/experimental rock band from New York), Nightmare of You, The Wailers, Coheed and Cambria, Jacks Mannequin, Pepper
I kinda went back and forth on the issue of coming back next year while i was there. But when it was all said and done I realised I had a blast and will most definatly be back next year. Ya kinda take the good with the bad at a festival this size, but you can't beat the amount of music

As for musician wise, Moonshine should move to a weekend slot fo sho man, they jammed hard. And as for me, This was my third year and I agree with the above poster. I was back and forth and after its all said and done with, how can you not wanna do it again man. So much great music, and even better for me I got to enjoy with 18 of my coolest friends ever. Its crazy though on the friend thing; I live in a whole another state than these people and never see them during the year except for bonnaroo. Its like a crazy awesome bond i have formed with all these people. Bonnaroo for Life!
I was thinking about this earlier in the week. I definitely think MMJ will take next year off. ONly because it'll be hard for them top that show, and now they've been there each of the last 4 years, it's a good time to take a year off. I think you'll see MMJ at Vegoose this fall, but not Roo '07. If they are still touring at that point, you may see Trey, Mike and the Duo headline a night. It'll be the closest thing to a phish show Roo ever had, and would probably draw big. Though I do love them, I really don't want Widespread Panic to headline AGAIN, but I think it's inevitable that they will either Headline or get a late-night spot next year. Late Night Side Stage Panic might be perfect for Saturday Night. Definitely Moonshine Still. Les has yet to miss a bonnaroo, will he in 07? Warren you know will be back in some form. I didn't really think many bands from Thursday were ready for Weekend spots other than Toubab, Wood Bros, and The Motet. I really hope the Disco Biscuits come back. I think Umphrey's will be left off. We will Probably get SCI again, it's been a few years for them I believe. moe. is iffy one way or the other. they deserve another late night gig I Imagine. It's really hard to say who will be back from this year. If i had to guess, many of them won't be, not because they weren't good, but for the sake of keeping it fresh.
ghosts of Roos pasts I'd like to see: Ween, David Byrne, Wilco, The Wailers, Primus, Amon Tobin, Danger Mouse, Mark Farina, DJ Sppoky, The Black Keys, Galactic, Sam Bush, Del McCoury, Bill Laswell, The Bad Plus, Camper Van Beethoven, The Flaming Lips, The Roots, The Meters, Jack Johnson, STS9, Raq, The New Deal... to name a few.

OMG, a 3 fan! Joey Eppard is amazing! Possibly the most ridiculous guitarist ever.

My first roo was exausting and I missed many of the bands I wanted to see because of the heat and the long walk, but I still had an awesome time and as long as it is in TN, I will absolutely be back
As for bands.... I don't really care, because it seems every year they have picked the right kinds of music to keep me happy. But Dave Matthews would be the icing for me

Please a god if there is one, keep DMB away from the roo, bring back the Dead, Grab, the Mars Volta how about those people headlining, it is only a dream, but sometimes they do come true, not a big ween fan, but would rather see them then DMB, Motet and the Krewe both deserve weekend spots, i don't see why MMj would be there, people seem to love them, i like a few of their songs, and their fans seem to be well versed in festival mannors, MMJ forever, DMB never
Tishamingo deserves a weekend slot, alot Hot Buttered Rum, then hopefully we'll see Panic, Mule, NMA, some form of Trey and Mike, THE DEAD, Yonder Mountain, RAILROAD EARTH, and Tea Leaf Green
I have gave this question some thought and have to go with these Diamonds in the Rough from roo 2006:
Grace Potter- I downloaded their set and it was amazing. Think Bonnie Raitt, but with ALOT of bite. Probably one of the most underrated sets at roo this year.
Motet-I think most people agree they just had one killer set and should gt a regular time slot next year. They drew as much attention as some of the bigger names that weekend and well deserved I must say.
Cat Empire- Again, just like The Motet, this band just brought their A game to Bonnaroo and should get a shot to play with the big dawgs next year.
I also said I would not be back next year.. but after that weekend, there is no way I'm going to miss next year.
We will definitly see a form of the Dead again (as always.. can't go wrong with that). I'd like to see Matt Costa get a weekend slot, but I liked his Thursday night slot, just because night is better for Matt, not day, and there's no way he'd play any night durring the weekend. Trey will be back as always also. Matisyahu played 2 years in a row so I don't see it again next year. Also I'd like, MMW, moe., MMJ, and of course Les.
As for non 06/ghosts of bonnaroo: WSP, Warren Haynes, and SCI will definitly be back. I would also love to see, Tea Leaf Green, STS9, O.A.R., ALO, Galactic (they NEED TO BE THERE!), a J5/Roots combo like they did with this year's hip-hop, and Jack Johnson would be nice, but he isn't touring anymore (at least not for a couple years).
I think the Sasha show demonstrated that electronic music can be quite well recieved at Bonnaroo, (in moderation) and can be scheduled when it wont be taking venue time from the jam bands, blues artists, rappers, reggaeists, etc.
I'd also like multiple superjam slots each with their own combination of artists.
I think we'll see some more interesting choices in music... Thinking of the non-main-stagers:
Glen Phillips, Hotel Lights, Josh Ritter (returning), Go! Team, The Frames (returning), Guggenheim Grotto, K's Choice, Buffalo Tom, Golden Smog, ALO (returning), Chuck E. Weiss, David Gray, Patty Griffin (those two for ATO's last holdouts), Death In Vegas, Sasha (returning), J5 (returning), Charli2na (solo), The Black Keys (returning), Pitty Sing, Quasi, Rev. Horton Heat, Maxwell/Mosher, The 88...
I'm just checking a musical barometer on some of these; don't mistake this list for my own wishlist, I'm just looking into the pan trying to read the bones for the list that rounds out the larger announcements or jam scene.
LIGUY- I think you're right about Grace Potter. I've been hearing/reading a lot about her lately, she's going to get big soon and I think we'll see her back at next year's Roo.
