now that i (and many of you i am sure) have had some time to go back and listen to a lot of the sets again..just wondering what you thought were the 1 or 2 highlights of the shows. here are a few of mine so far.
MMJ- Dondonte....wow.
Radiohead- at the show i was kind of dissappointed that they brought out "House of Cards" when they did..but between the glowsticks and giving it another couple of listens, it was pretty f'n cool. 'Bodysnatchers' too.

Radiohead: -The heavy part of 2+2=5 ("Because...you have not been paying attention") -Fake Plastic Trees (came at the perfect time) -The glowstick war during House of Cards
Sonic Youth: -100% -Thurston scraping his guitar across that wall thing and dangling it from its cord -Stephen Malkmus coming out to sing a song
MMJ: -Wordless Chorus -Dondante
Beck: -The puppet film -Creep/Do You Realize
Blackalicious: -Gift of Gab's freestyle -First In Flight
Wordless Chorus was an amzing opener for that show, and during GRAB I had a very memorable moment as well. me and my compadres were laying down towrds the left side of the stage, we were realllllllly out of it at this point, then we hear the beginning of Casy Jones and we all began singing the song together. It was great, something that will stick in my mind for a while.

Play, Pause, Stop is a great song. They played it last time I saw them, and it was in like a 200 square foot room, and it was really intense. Having Trey and Mike added to it made it even more awesome. Oh man so so good
-"Fake Plastic Trees" has never soared like it did at Roo. I've always been pissed that the guitar explosion towards the end never translated that great live (in person, or on any boot I've heard), but that was not the case. Jonny's guitar sounded like a bolt of lightning coming off that stage. Wow.
-"Ft. Worth Blues" was about as heart wrenching as possible during Steve Earle's set. I teared up.
-"What A Wonderful Man" sounded like the end of the world during MMJ's performance.
-The entirety of Be Your Own Pet's show -- aural enema.

Damn, I can't believe I missed their show. I love that song, especially live.
Oh well, at least I'll get to catch them and the Flaming Lips on 8/3 at the State Theater in Detroit. I wonder how the smaller venue is going to affect the Lips' show?

My highlights:
Radiohead - the Bends - not as amazing as some of the other songs, but it's always been a fav and the guitar part right towards the end is like audio intercourse
Steve Earle - F*** the FCC - what a way to open a show
MMJ - Dondante, Run Thru, A Quick One While He's Away (I thought my brain was going to fall out when they opened the 2nd set with this)
Sonic Youth - everthing except 'Or' (I hate that song)
Watching Petty's entire set from the top of our neighbors van.
Les Claypool - Precipitation & getting his autograph
I just scored tickets to the lips/ sonic youth show in Detroit, I hope it affects the lips show in a way that will justify me paying three times what the original tickets sold for
When Damian Marley did "Road To Zion", the hairs on my arms and neck were standing up. Towards the end when everyone was waving their hands back and forth and everyone was singing along:
"We got to keep on walking, down the road to zion"
-"Ft. Worth Blues" was about as heart wrenching as possible during Steve Earle's set. I teared up.
Same here man, he told that story then broke into that song and I kept thinking "Thank God I have my sunglasses on so no one can see me cry!"
MMJ-- The entire set was insane, but the Quick One second set opener was the highlight of Bonnaroo!!
Radiohead- The Bends (I thought that they quit playing live), National Anthem
Phil and Friends- Shakedown St.........everyone got up the place was groovin hard
The Codetalkers w/ Col Bruce - Miss Hawaii.......... we were drunk as hell and everytime they'd sing "ALOUHA" I was cracking up
Marah - Love Train by the Ojays....... nothing like a buncha hippies joined together in a "love train" running you the fuck over!!
Robert Randolph- When that white dude got on stage w/ the guitar.....they were honkey donkeyg rockin!!
Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint - Brickyard Blues.......nothing like seeing people painted green dirty dancing to Elvis Costello (even if it was Allen's song)!!

Electric Eel Shock - Iron Man Robert Randolph - Don't Stop Till You Get Enough Umphrey's McGee/Disco Biscuits - The entire friggin set, especially Brain Damaged/Eclipse and Pinball Wizard Beck - Puppet Movie, Do You Realize, Paper Tiger Radiohead - The whole thing, especially Fake Plastic Trees, There There, Bodysnatchers, No Surprises, and Everything in its Right Place The Streets - Blinded By the Lights, Pranging Out Phil Lesh - All Along the Watchtower, Gimme Shelter
As you can tell, I'm a fan of live covers. I like seeing bands play other people's songs more than their own sometimes. It's just so unexpected and exciting.
