From the Genius that is Stephen Malkmus:
Bleed the pot When you're hot you're hot And when enough is enough Do the fakers drop out? Promise me You will always be Too awake to be famous Too wired to be safe
....Malkmus may be "the" set this year (at least for me)
haha, we have simliar tastes ron , that list for me is Radiohead, Oysterhead, Malkmus, Sonic Youth, Phil, The Wood Brothers, and Vorcza Trio. Not as short as yours, I guess :-)
"the armys on exstacy, so they say, I read all about it in USA Today. they stepped up urine testing to make it go away, cause its hard to kill the enemy on ole mdma..."
How about a cheer for all those bad girls And all those boys that play that rock'n'roll They love it like you love Jesus It does the same thing to their souls
This is the sound That swims inside me That circle sound Is what surrounds me This is the land That grows around me And these are the hands That come in handy
Well we've known we've known We've had a choice We chose rejoice "This is the Way", Devendra Banhart

"The legendary hitchhiker says that he knows where it's at. Now he'd like to go to Spain or somewhere like that, with his two-tone Bible and his funny cigarettes, his suntan lotion and his castanets."
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.
Gaia's jigsaw earth is free. Early in the morning, rise and shine, and the world is callin'. Gaia's actuality. Sky, the ground, and a place to roam, Circus in a bubble, a place called home.
- Disco Biscuits

I've got a flask inside my pocket We can share it on the train And if you promise to stay conscious I will try and do the same Yeah, we might die from medication But we sure killed all the pain But what was normal in the evening By the morning seems insane
My world's the surface of the moon. My heart's down in a diamond mine. Like the black stars of Memphis, moaning on, When your white Lexus comes To drive Me out Drive me to the edge of town Try to feel nothing on command When your white Lexus comes The thrill Be damned Damn it to the last damned man.

i get home from work and you're still standing in your dressing gown well what am i to do?
i know all the things around your head and what they do to you. what are we coming to? what are we gonna do?
blame it on the black star blame it on the falling sky blame it on the satellite that beams me home.
the troubled words of a troubled mind i try to understand what is eating you. i try to stay awake but its 58hrs since that i last slept with you. what are we coming to? i just don't know anymore.
