I just got this cd so that my second graders could listen to it while they work. My students like to listen to music and I can only listen to Arthur (from pbs) or Seussical the Musical (even classical music gets "old") so many times. The album is more of a Jack Johnson album than Curious George, I don't think it references the little monkey even once. I would reccommend it, especially if you have kids.
My girlfriend is a third grade teacher. I could never do it. I don't know how any of my teachers pout up with me much less 20-30 kids all day. Props to you.

one of my nephews loves this CD so much and everytime i go to my sisters house he is rocking out to it. He's almost 4 now and seeing as how my sister and her husband were big dead heads when they were in college...it didn't take long for them to get their first son into them. We sing Casey Jones together but the lyrics instead go a little something like...driving that train, I am OK...., I'm not so sure it would look to good having a 3 and a half year old walking around saying cocaine haha, it's the most adorable thing though

I got it for my 3 yr old cousin and she loves it. Makes her dance every time.
I think its a good album with the all the new jack material being A+, plus who says little kid music cant be good, id much rather my kids(that i dont really have) listen to jack Johnson than Raffi
i play him all the time at work (its a ice cream shop, family freindly only)
one kid i work with who also digs his music told me that a kid in one of his classes made a comment about how only gay people like jack johnson and he got into a shout with him. this kid (who i work with) is a total metalhead too; he has 3 misfits tattoos and is vegan
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
Yeah something very similar/\/\ happened to me at a party one night when I was wearing a jack t-shirt this dude starting shouting homosexual slurs at me, and I'm not even gay(not that there is anything wrong with it). I don't get why a combination of James Taylor and Bob Marley could ever be a bad thing
when i saw this thread i was thinking that jj had put out something brand new and got all excited !
i've had this album since it came out and enjoy it. curious george was like my fav thing ever when i was little so the nostalgia of the album cover alone made me want it. has some cool stuff with visits from g love and ben harper. its an album thats easy listening and lighthearted. its not possible to be sad and listen to this. i substitue at elementary schools and when the kids are good i use this as a reward. they love to get up and dance around and whatnot. good times. i wish i could have listened to some jj growin up. o well. i had pearl jam instead
Jack Johnson is such a joke. He's the Jimmy Buffett of this generation: terrible voice, terrible songwriter, and terrible musician. The amount of people that actually think this guy has talent is terrifying.
what a great example of what two little words can make Mango. A simple "I think" would be the two I mean. Man, it pains me so, to be at odds with the end all be all of music. You understand thats how your coming across in that post right? ??? I like the guy..........and Buffett......hmmmmm odd.
jack puts it down. 'broke down melody' is a great album...
and I THINK jack has one of the most unique styles thats came out in the last several years. the man can put together some great, sometimes 'simple' songs, but freakin' amazing nonetheless...

hey, dont hate on the one and only Raffi, creator of Banana Phone.
