Alieblue.. Does the waterproof stuff work well enough to keep your boots from being trashed? I have a pair of cowboy boots that are mega comfy I'm thinking about wearing. The heat will suck, but I get swollen legs and pain from sun exposure if I'm not careful, so the extra coverage sounds nice to me. I just don't want to ruin the boots. They were my first purchase when I moved to TX because I figured you can't be a Texan without a pair of cowboy boots.
And I used the monistat stuff running around the theme parks all last summer when I lived in Orlando. It did its job well, but I would have to reapply a few times throughout the day. Great for the price!
The only problem I have with the monistat stuff is that it's a gel. A tube of it once exploded in my purse. Not fun.
Hopefully your purse and it's contents weren't trashed. Thanks, Ladies. I think the easiest thing is going to be shorts. I'll probably bring some body glide/gold bond, too, for those unbearably-hot-wish-i-had-a-breeze-up-my-dress days

Well it's hard to say because I have had these boots for years and they have gotten soft and beaten up just from use. But they have been to two Roos and were still fine enough to wear to work. Keep the spray far away and do many layers - up close can make it drip. It could make the leather darker, have a bit more dull of a finish. But with boots that look good a bit weathered, it's a great choice!
^^^The hat's cute and I understand not buying something for one use only. Have you ever used a GoGirl? I just wonder if it's that much better in a porta potty or am I off base and is it used outside the porta johns?
I have a Pstyle, bought it at the 1st Bonnaroo and I like it. However going on to 4th Roo I find it a PITA and instead have 3 ziploc baggies in my bag - 1 for TP, 1 for Clorox wipes, 1 for personal wipes. I tuck a bit in my bra strap when I go in, wipe down the seat, do my thing.
Portapotties in Bonnaroo are far less nasty than ones I have seen at local one-day music events, winery music festivals, radio station-sponsored events. I think because everyone at Bonnaroo knows they will be there for 4 days they are a bit more... aware in there. Also there are less drunken DBs at Roo than at local music events and the drunks are the ones that nastify porta potties the most.
They add more and more porta potties each year. My fiancé had been to every single Roo and he said they were so awful that the pots were overflowing the first year. Eeek! Anyway, I read advice last year about having glow sticks to see better in them at night. Great advice, but they took glow sticks away at the gate, so hide them if you've got them. I was impressed with them last year though.

Have you been to Bonnaroo? Every day is an unbearably-hot-wish-i-had-a-breeze-up-my-dress day, which is why I only wear sundresses. I tried shorts once and it was not good.

And last year was the worst they have been since I started going in 2006. I have always been totally fine with the porta-potties at Roo. Last year was actually pretty bad compared to previous years.
This may be somewhere else on inforoo- but I was wondering if any hoopers out there want to gather for a jam session at some point during the festival? I am coming with a bunch of boys who don't hoop and would love to find some friends to hoop it up with/learn from each other....
I usually wear shorts for the drive in to Roo and while we're setting up camp. Once everything is set up though, I immediately change into a dress/skirt.
I have one of those small pink coleman lanterns. They have a handle and most of the portos have a hook on the door. Works great at night. Although I have been in one with out the hook and had to hold the think in my mouth. That was not as great.
I have a little mini lantern as well, and I clip it to my bag. The light is great for the portos. Plus, it has a little flashing red light that I leave on at night so 1. I can find my way back to my stuff at night if I accidentally hoop/dance too far away, and 2. I don't get body slammed by someone wondering around blind in the dark (this has happened to me before)

i use the monistat and it works. i bought some back up stuff at walmart in the baby area. it was cheaper and in a bigger tube and it works the same. dont go without this product in some form. use it. to not use it can be a big mistake and i dont want to know what they charge for this product at roo
The monistat version of body glide is GREAT. And really cheap at Target. I used it all last year to run in the summertime.
i havent tried monistat products yet but thanks, im considering it now. body glide and a small container of gold bond are all i carry on the AT when hiking and they usually pull through at the roo well.
I ramble on about Bonnaroo to all my friends and it paid off. My friend in Kentucky found Crocs on clearance for $10! It's nice not having to shell out retail for them, yayyyy!
uhm... no i dont normally go out braless. and im not naked, jackass - i wear a shirt.
and id like to hear other guys 'standpoints' on this cuz i think chick #2 looks pretty good.
Cant look at the pictures at work but here is my take as a guy. I promote braless/topless whatever you want. I personally like hips more than boobs but as someone else said I wont turn boobs away. As far as boobs go "I like them big, I like them small, I like them all" Do your thing ladies.
Got my SS-Dash Flat Iron in the mail today, so I took it out to the car to plug it in and try it out... It heated up fast- not as fast as my super expensive regular iron, but fast enough. It was the tiny size I expected, so obviously you would not sit there are try to do your whole head of hair, but I was very happy with the little guy's performance. It claims to heat to 400 deg... I don't know if that is true or not, but I think it must get very close because my hair won't perform without that level of heat. I had straight hair to begin with, so I tried to put a few flips in it like I plan to at Roo since I'm starting wavy/curly there. It worked perfectly. Obviously the waves it puts in the hair are a bit tighter diameter than the 1' flat iron I use, but they were of a size that will still blend with and define my own texture well. It even got my hair straight again after I curled it. You can't use a lot of hair at once, but this will be great to touch up bangs, face framing layers and random bits throughout the crown to blend. I am very very happy with the $14 purchase. And since I drive a prius it should be very practical by costing pennies to run. So if anyone is interested I would highly recommend this iron for touch ups. Just don't expect the performance of your regular flat iron. (I read a review where a girl uses hers to fix her bangs before she leaves the gym parking lot, so there is even potential use of this product outside of camping.
And on a side note, I was in the camping section at walmart today, and noticed that Coleman sells a little box of toilet seat liners that would fit in your pocket... Like 10 or 12 for less than 2 dollars. I guess they fold them up tiny, so they looked like they could come in handy.
I was at target today and saw some sanuk look-alikes....verrry cute and veryyy comfortable....for 15 bucks!!! If you're looking for that type of shoe but not wanting to drop a wad of cash, definitely check em out!

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION (though it may have already been asked.. not about to scroll through 200 pages of this thread for the answer):
Is it a bad idea to wear a bathing suit every day under clothes instead of undies? I've heard it could be bad for you and really uncomfortable.. but it seems like the best idea.

Nah, I do that. If you're at all large-chested you'll want to make sure you've got a good, supportive bathing suit top. If the top wasn't as supportive as a bra I'm sure you'd end up quite uncomfortable.
But as long as your suit is comfy, you should be fine!
Speaking of the portable flat iron, just saw this daily deal site has 1. Not the $14 price, but figured I'd mention it just in case. They even posted a video of it being sold on HSN.
