Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
We will have "GFT Shopping Trip- Nashvegas style!" I personally don't need anything else for Bonnaroo either; my closet is stocked with plenty of sundresses and bandanas. But it would be fun to look at cute stuff and hang out with other Roo-ladies. I say we plan for a day when it gets warmer, maybe in March?
^Yeah. I've out of work for quite a while now, too. I probably shouldn't be buying things. But, when you are home all day, you have tons of time to shop online!
It's been a minute since I asked my question on here but thank you, dcbee and everyone else for the advice!
I will definitely be wearing skirts this year...and am thinking about getting a P-style. For the ladies that have one, are these easy to use when you're wearing a skirt in a port-o-potty?

i bought a pair of these cool wrap pants at a hippie store downtown. they are SOOOOOOO damn comfortable and they com in cool colors and are reversible. i plan to take them for nightime. an added bonus is that they are so wide legged that you can do bathroom time without unwrapping them with some practice.
Wrap pants are really easy to make. I have two pairs and love them! I haven't taken them to fests because of the portos. I'll have to practice pulling them down without unwrapping.
I am obsessed with scarves and head wraps. My hair is just a bit too short to pull back well, so I wear something wrapped around my head pretty much all summer long. I got one of these headbands on etsy last year, and it quickly became my absolute favorite. I haven't found anything else that even compares. I just bought one in another color. The best part is, even with international shipping, they are still only $11. Waaaayyyy underpriced for how fantastic they are. www.etsy.com/shop/colourbazaar?section_id=6024511
Oh, a quick note about those pants, because I made my very first pair way too small and had to send them off to someone super skinny. The directions say to make the waist band about 3/4 the length of your waist, but that's after you cut out the crotch. I started with a rectangle the width of the length of my hip measurement. After cutting out the crotch, it was perfect.
This summer will be my forth Bonnaroo, and let me tell you I am envious of the style you ladies seem to be able to pull off in the weather! I love the summer dresses at target, and after seeing the wrap pants tutorial I will hopefully be able to sport some of those too! lol
i know its my first post, but you guys are seriously awesome!

This thread is my favorite. I'll be a first timer this year, and it makes me grin that I'm not the only girly girl thinking about what I'm going to do with hair, clothes & makeup. Thank you ladies for all the tips here and the tips yet to come!
ross is great. do you guys ever look through their beauty supplies. rossand tj max has nice skin care and makeup /haircare for very good prices. you can also clean up on fitness items such as yoga mats and stability balls.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a skirt smaller? I only need to make the waist a little bit smaller....and I've never altered anything before. I figure I could cut it and sew it, but I'm sure it's not that simple. Also, it doesn't have a draw string or anything stretchy, so once it's smaller I don't know how I will get it over my hips/butt to put it on.

What kind of skirt is it and what kind of waist? If it's a flowy, hippy skirt, it would probably be easiest to just add a draw string. If it's got a wide seam at the top, you can just cut a slit in it and slide a drawstring through. If not, you can fold it down to make a wide seam and then add the draws string.
Or you can probably just do a couple of darts at the waist. You'd want either 2 equidistant from the middle in either the front or back, or 4 (front and back). For that you just fold a little extra fabric to the inside and then sew it together. You don't even have to cut the fabric if you don't want to, so if you screw it up, you can just take out the stitches. This would add a couple pleats to the skirt. I found this tutorial on how to do that: missnonaeleanor.wordpress.com/2009/07/01/the-skirt-fix/
If it's a more structured, fitted skirt, you'd need to redo the seams. For that, you'd be better off bringing it to a tailor.

I <3 this thread, This will be my first trip to Bonnaroo and it's awesome to know I'm not the only one looking for idea's of fun/useful things to wear!
Been reading through some of the post's and checked out Etsy....LOVE IT!!!!
i'm rethinking my roo style. half the stuff i brought last year didn't work out for me. so far this year i'm focusing on bathing suits, boxers/elastic shorty shorts. maybe some board shorts....? and tank tops. jeans for at night or maybe something flowy (those wrap pants look niiice!).
to put my own personal spin on it i think i'm going to custom screen the tanks. and of course funny boxers with silly patterns. the turquoise fishy ones i wore last year are my favorite to wear to derby practice now and they always get a laugh.
i tried the stretchy boob dresses last year and they were tight and itchy! anyone have sundress suggestions that are a little more comfy and not tight? ive seen ones made of tee shirt like material but i cant think of what they are right now. ones with a tank style top or spaghetti straps. its late lol.
i also found that i ended up shoving my hair into a bun most of the time while i was there, which is not a very flattering look for me. i just hate having hair in my face and all over my neck when i'm roasting hot. i liked those etsy head wraps but im not sure what i would do with my hair with one on. just leave it down? ponytail? in every pic, she has it over her ears, which looks like it would drive me crazy. my ears don't lay flat like that, they stick straight out.
i also have a couple of headbands like this :http://www.schampa.com/product_p/dz01.htm but they're more batik looking and really comfy. i should have brought them last year but i forgot them at home. still got to figure out how to wear them with my hair up somehow.
I was at Target this week and they have some soft, jersey-knit-like dresses for $20. Tank-top style top, not spaghetti straps, so you could actually wear a bra! I believe they are the Merona brand, which I associate with Target's "nicer" stuff, but they could easily be a great Roo dress. There were several colors to choose from, and they were sooooo soft. I'm not allowed to buy any more Roo dresses (I have way too many), but I was very tempted to put in my cart.
