Yes I am saying this. At most I would say there are 15 worse. Everything is subjective, but I would rate AL, MS, AR, IA, IN, ND, SD, KS, NE, OK, and VA (I hate this state), objectively worse. There would be four or so states that I could hear arguments about, but even a state like WV which is objectively worse economically, politically etc, you could argue it is way more beautiful and better for outdoor tourism.
excited to watch you cope and seethe when Virginia ends up top 6

I used to hate Ohio, but years of going to shows in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati, it housing Inforoo's hottest member (Capital Cincy), and Magnolia Thunderpussy really bring it up to a solid 13. It's just boring and red, but it was also the closest and easiest place I could see LCD Soundsystem last summer.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 11/21 - Caribou @ Avant Gardner 11/23 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 11/25 - TV on the Radio @ Webster Hall 12/5 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 12/7 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 12/14 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center
This is great. I haven't been to Cleveland in about a decade. During the Reds games, Bally Sports Ohio has been running Cleveland tourism ads that make it look super hip and fun. From what I recall, "Real Cleveland" falls somewhere between your video and BSO's video. Probably slightly closer to yours. The Rock Hall and the West Side Market are pretty cool, though.

The 3 C's go Cincinnati > Cleveland > Columbus
imo. Spent a ton of time in all 3. Columbus is like denver without mountains. Really good if you like bass music I guess. Also the punk/hc scene is really good there.
Ohio also has a full 4th of the state that is sparsely populated Appalachia. I've done some really great backpacking in Wayne National forest

Greatest place on Earth. Three good cities with affordable living, while Lake Erie isn't the cleanest of lakes it is great in the summer, Cedar Point, lots of sports teams, good music and arts, only non-rectangular flag, leaders of the Union in the Civil War, aviators and astronauts.

PHISH, SATURDAY 11/21/2009 U.S. BANK ARENA Cincinnati, OH
SET 1: Wilson > NICU, Wolfman's Brother, Ocelot, Torn and Frayed, Strange Design, Ginseng Sullivan, Albuquerque, Split Open and Melt, Dirt, Limb By Limb, Run Like an Antelope
SET 2: Rock and Roll > Ghost > If I Could, Backwards Down the Number Line > Prince Caspian, Suzy Greenberg > Also Sprach Zarathustra > The Squirming Coil
ENCORE: Sleeping Monkey, Axilla
Albuquerque was played for the first time since September 14, 2000 (115 shows). Fish teased Buffalo Bill prior to Rock and Roll.
at this time i was a bank teller. a few days before we left for the show our branch was getting audited, i was chatting with the auditor and she asked what my weekend plans were and i told her i was going to see Phish in Cincinnati that weekend. Right when we were talking UPS showed up with a package for me, I opened it up and they were Phish tickets, the auditor was like "oh are those for the shows this weekend" and i had to admit "no these are for another Phish show in Charlottesville in two weeks" i'm surprised we passed the audit.
driving to this show was the first time i heard Patton Oswalt, my buddy put on his "Werewolves and Lollipops" CD, in which Oswalt mercilessly opens the show with the KFC Bowl/Lunch Gun bit, i was laughing so hard i about drove the car off the road.
highlight of the show is we were sitting behind a group of several kids probably in their late teens/early twenties, and they all lost their minds during Antelope. that's when i decided that every first timer should always get an Antelope at their first show, it's basically Phish's "Dark Star".
