A more meaty discussion would be why the US is so bad at soccer considering that we do actually get good youth participation numbers.
What ive seen many times is that kids here opt out and move over to different sports because the NBA, NFL, and MLB just carry more currency here than international soccer. But it's always been an interesting dynamic.
Soccer is something you put your kids in and pay no attention. No one takes it seriously .All the kids want to do is run around. I played one year when I was 8 and had no idea what was happening. I knew enough about football and baseball already to at least know what to do.
Usain deserves accolades and not sabotage. This is probably the most incredible sprint of all times. Straight up 8 gold medals. This isn’t a shitty career

It’s always the dichotomy between men’s and women’s. Our women’s soccer team has an incredible history* in world cups concacafs and Olympics. I think they moved up to #1 ranking after the Olympics but not 100%.
* Only game I ever attended was the friendly vs China in Abby Wombach’s send off game. They tried to get her some shots which is why we probably lost 1-0. It was still pretty incredible with a city record crowd of 32k people and they didn’t even open the top level of the dome which another 20 or so thousand people probably would have went. /usausausa
Also looking forward to not giving a shit what countries I get to see next World Cup Mr.BelgianAmbers who you got an open invite to Pensacola once I move back for good in November.

Also. Usain Bolt by far the least impressive career. Dude can run yes, but once you're fast it's about maintaining that speed. Even if he couldn't increase his speed over his career, he mightve still stayed the fastest man alive.
Other sports take a lot more effort to stay on top.

GOAT survivor. Some of you pussies who don’t live in an area that will host games ought to consider it.
