You’re on efests more than me, was The Mirror who ran the story about Dua being split between Coachella/Glastonbury last year? I tried googling but couldn’t find it.

Yeah, the sun. But interestingly enough, Dua said in an interview leading up to Glasto that she was booked in the fall of 2022. So there really wasnt anything to be conflicted over. In hindsight it wouldve been a huge boost cause the album was out barely a month later. But she has the worst management on the planet anyway.
Right now the consensus is a mixture of Springsteen, Fred Again, Olivia Rodrigo and the KLF to headline.
Its a running joke, just had to put it in there. Also Foos will be around so that just might be a safe backup. Prob wouldnt count out Sam Fender either cause he is due for a new record.
Probably. But the tour dates will give a better indication. And Glasto would be a warm up if it indeed was the first show? Big risk to take.
It was already gonna be a pain because the fallow year follows. Having Oasis the the high chance will make it even tougher. But then again if youve got 25 shows to pick from and that makes it easier for anyone not having to rely on a festival booking.

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m hoping for too, but I don’t think it’s going to abate it much. So it goes.
Oasis aren’t going to reunite and not play Glasto, what’s the crowd record for this fest the last 10-15 years?
obviously Oasis would break it either way but I think the most common response to your second question in the Dolly Parton legends slot in 2014. (side note: did find this article that said that someone once said 300,000 people saw the Levellers in 1994 due to gate crashing. this is hilarious to me since I had literally never heard about the Levellers prior to reading this article.)
It’s not because of possibility of Oasis playing it, but I’m planning a UK trip next year, and seems like Glasto dates might align with it, and I’m entertaining the idea of going. When do the tickets typically go on sale and what should I do before then? I know there’s some registration involved but not sure if that’s open yet.

Glastonbury ticketing is a total crap shoot. I got 'em for 2016 and haven't had a sniff since. If you're going to be in Europe and somehow get them, fantastic, but don't plan the trip around it (unless you have industry connections and can pay $$$ for hospitality). You can register now through See Tickets.

You MUST be registered in order to attempt to buy tickets when they go on sale.
Tickets will go on sale in October in 2 tranches.
The first tranche normally goes on sale the first or second weekend in October and are tickets that are tied to a coach bus roundtrip from one of many cities in the UK to Glastonbury. You pick up your tickets on the coach bus to the festival. So do you have to actually take the coach to the festival. You can skip the return coach and book other transportation if you so desire.
The second tranche are tickets only, and usually go on sale 1-2 weekends after the ticket + coach packages.
Like InDaGreen said, it's very very very difficult to get tickets, and the vast majority of people fail. I recall reading that ~2 million people try for ~200,000 tickets. With Oasis rumored to headline, I can imagine it will be even harder this year.
Once you get through the queue into the ticketing site, enter the registration number and postcode of each person you're getting tickets for, with a maximum of 6 tickets. So you can get tickets for others, but they have to be registered and you have to know their info ahead of time.

I'm 4/4 on getting tickets, but it is tough.
T day hasnt been announced but I think theyre gonna stick with November again.
Being a pre fallow year makes it the tough part. Everyones going to assume Oasis plays but it aint real til the poster hits. They had Madonna til she backed out in December and they had to scramble to have Sza.

Yeah. Some of the old e fest people have said it was that insane when it happened. Its pretty much impossible to have that again cause of the fence. But I expect the sneaking in will be ridiculous if Glasto was the first official show. Feels like a recipe for disaster almost.
They will not, however, be headlining Glastonbury festival as was rumoured over the weekend, nor playing 10 dates at Wembley and Etihad stadiums respectively.

Maybe Taylor Swift will headline Glastonbury because she’s good. She was supposed to play back in 2020 because the festival was canceled due to Covid-19.
Some names finally popping up on Monday that will be around calendar wise. 3 uk festivals announcing at the same time so they likely are sharing one headliner. Isle of Wight, Latitude and Lytham. Rumor is Isle has Timberlake, Stereophonics and Sting at the top. And betting odds jumped for Adele and Green Day as headliners.
