Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think it will still happen, if the organizers felt like they were in hot water I don’t think they would have released the that statement. Curious if they felt they got an adequate return on Ed
But seriously folks, a "How can you miss me if you never go away?" top line of Noah Kahan - Hozier - Chappell Roan would sell like hotcakes.
I think that they've learned their lesson and won't be booking three arena headliners on the same day anymore. The layout of the grounds pretty much demands that anyone really big has to play Green, because you can be far back from that stage and still see and hear everything well, due to the large video screens and the additional PA stacks midway back.
(I have a theory about why Chappell Roan exploded this year. She's the FOMO consolation prize for everyone who couldn't get tickets, or affordable tickets, to Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish. She's the female pop star whom you actually were able to see this year, early in the day at festivals, no less. That won't be the case any longer, but this summer, she fulfilled that need for rock-inflected pop in a big way. The fact that her songs are really good helped, too.)

I don’t see it happening this summer, I have to imagine they do UK shows first and then tour elsewhere but if they aren’t doing UK until summer 2025 then the timing doesn’t work for BC until 2026

Also, it's Boston Calling. Oasis would do Coachella and/or Bonaroo before BC.

We now know that they're not playing Boston Calling, but people say things like this every year -- "So and so is going only going to play Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lolla, and ACL", but what we more commonly see is artists either doing a whole bunch of festival headlining spots or none at all.
I genuinely enjoy them. Just needed some local deep but not too deep cuts.
I can't believe that neither of what I consider to be Boston's two best local bands, Hallelujah The Hills and Future Teens, have played Boston Calling yet. (Next year is going to be huge for HTH. It's their 20th anniversary, and they're releasing a 4-album boxed set of all new material called "Deck," on which each song correlates to a particular playing card.)

Probably not Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wade, Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Orville Peck, The Chicks, Zac Brown Band or Cam because they’re just country singers and they can play at some country music festivals.
At least, Limp Bizkit can be enjoyed ironically and seem to have a sense of humor about themselves, neither of which has ever been said about Linkin Park.
FWIW, MJ Lenderman and Wednesday appear to be solidly Team AEG, so I'd be shocked if either is ever in the Boston Calling lineup.
I'd be less surprised to see a Wedneday/MJ Lenderman joint tour hit the Bowery fourplay of Stage at Suffolk Downs, Westville Music Bowl, Thompson's Point, and Forest Hills, or two or three of them, next summer.
Speaking of Team AEG, Nick Cave is the same, so cross him off of Boston Calling and expect him to do some combination of those four venues on the inevitable 2025 Bad Seeds tour.

It's Linkin Park my grandma knows their songs and there's a female singer. Lock

Apparently, April is too early in the year to do outdoor events in Boston...like shows at Suffolk Downs, a marathon, or a dozen Red Sox home games. (If there's a college bowl game at Fenway in December, there can be Suffolk Downs shows in April)
Agganis is such a lousy venue, sight-wise, sound quality-wise, overactive security-wise. Two nights at Roadrunner without a notable opener would have been so much better.

Linkin Park have 3 times as many streams as limp bizkit on Spotify and are #76 in the world with more streams than Green Day.
You are misinformed on how serious of a following they have.

You're not addressing or refuting my point...that Limp Bizkit has a sense of humor about themselves and Linkin Park do not. No matter how big an artist's audience may be, the better festival booking may be one with a smaller diehard audience, but an act that more people can have a good time watching.
It's not either/or at all, however. Limp Bizkit is a Blue or Red Stage closer at best, and Linkin Park would headline. But more people who aren't necessarily fans of either band would probably enjoy Limp Bizkit more, for the aforementioned reasons.
Of course, the whole Danny Masterson thing may make Linkin Park too problematic to book at Boston Calling, who knows?
