Hey all,
Found a baby squirrel in the yard when my pup was sniffing around earlier.
Breathing but hairless/small and seemingly fell from the big tree it was next to (not a lot of options in that part of the yard).
Have called the local animal rescue number we were given. Closed until tomorrow. The recording on the voicemail said not to feed it water or feed it just keep it in warm dark place so going to try that and call in the morning if this lil guy (or gal) makes it through the night. Not sure if it's in bad shape or just a sleepy baby but it's still breathing.
Any tips/advice/stories of squirrel or other animal finding you all have?

I nursed a baby squirrel to health once, we fed him puppy formula I'm pretty sure. He was rly cute and once he thought we were his mom would just like go to sleep in the pocket of my hoodie and climb around our bodies. Definitely will pee and poop all over you tho! Eventually when he seemed more likely to be able to survive we let him free and my mom built him a bird house type of thing and put a bunch of treats and stuff in it. he would come back and eat treats out of our hands for a while after that eventually disappeared or died or something lol
