Looking at the schedule and it seems like a very frontloaded day. And the Astros already played so what am I supposed to do productive stuff now after Notre Dame lost?
I guess there's Tennessee-NC State but that's a tough ask.
It's what I'm watching bc I'm obligated. I wanna see Colorado-Nebraska somewhat as well. Hopefully it goes down to where ESPN calms the fuck down about Colorado.

Colorado vs Nebraska might have some LOLs, Nebraska is good at choking and Colorado is Colorado. Travis Hunter is fun to watch

Rice game is on ESPN+ and yeah I kinda want to watch CU-Nebraska too but also that is such a matchup I never would have watched before Coach Prime so it feels kinda goofy.

Was driving Uber this afternoon and picked up a couple from a brewery and the girl asked the guy "how do you endure life as an Auburn fan?" He replied "it's like when you have a family member with cancer and the doctor says it's in remission and you get super excited and then it comes back immediately, and just repeat that cycle every two weeks forever"

LOL 28-0 at halftime. I'm watching it in the same way you have to gawk at a train wreck. Can everyone get over Colorado already? The safe assumption is that they're all hype (still), not that Nebraska is finally back, right?
With all the Coach Neon hype, I hadn't noticed until now that Pat Shurmur is their OC. Man, the football world is really forgiving, giving that milquetoast dud one nice job after another. Who looks at his resume and thinks, "Yeah, this will be the time he really nails it?"
Holy shit Clemson is already up 42-0 on App State and it's only 2 minutes into the second quarter
Doing what Notre Lame couldn't in manhandling an inferior team, like you're supposed to do early in the season. I feel like Clemson is legit, if not a world beater, and ND is (was?) over hyped, as they are every year.
Iowa and GT lost in lesser upsets, and Penn State and K State got some pretty good scares but pulled out wins. Not sure this qualifies as major top-25 chaos, but there were some really competitive games where blowouts wouldn't have been shocking.

So Ohio State wins in a blowout shutout and drops a spot, while Penn State needs a late TD to beat a MAC school and maintains their previous ranking while leapfrogging Oregon, who also won a close game?
I know, it's too early to really look at polls anyway, and Texas was fantastic. College football is better when Texas is relevant. Is this the first time they looked like a legitimate contender since Vince Young was there?

aside from Colt McCoy in 2009? yeah. Texas has been average at best from 2010 until last season. coaching carousel, numerous losing seasons, etc. considering the in-state talent, they had an awful decade.
i’m glad they’re better than they have been, but god i do not want them or OK winning a conference title for several years at least.
