I wonder what the Phish festival happening in August means for the future of Firefly if anything
I feel like it bodes well for Firefly. It means they are using the infrastructure that they poured so much money into over the years and the Firefly brand is so synonymous with Dover at this point that it just makes sense to keep the festival there. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about 2024 dates by the end of Oct but that's by no means definite at all.

Firefly really suffered with the lack of students/summer folk being able to go the past couple years. It seemed like they tried to cut corners to make up for it in 2022 to make it work and it was kind of depressing. If a top line of Green Day/MCR/Dua Lipa/Halsey can't sell well you need to revaluate, which is what they did. I assume they took the year off to get ahead of the ball to book for June 2024. Just my opinion. Either way hopefully it's not dead and back in September if not.
I'm feeling more optimistic about Firefly returning to Dover, and if they really have been booking for next year since 2022 then it might be likely that we get a lineup drop by Thanksgiving or Christmas. But in the meantime, anyone feel like ranking the Firefly lineups by year?
2015 (because Paul) > 2014 > 2013 > 2016 > 2021 = 2018 > 2012 (because lineup was eclectic and deep for a first year fest) > 2022 > 2019 > 2017

Thinking they're probably gonna swing for the fences with so much time to book, and desperately needing a comeback. Foo Fighters might be the (or one of the) rock headliner(s). Not holding my breath for Rage, that bungled reunion tour doesn't bode well for future performances.

Who would predict a torn achilles was gonna happen.

Yeah, that was some tragic irony.. even if he (hopefully) can walk normally again, Zack de la Rocha is a radically changed performer.

Anyone ever bring their RV to this thing? They park them inside the racetrack right? I only went the Tame Impala saturday in 2021 and dont remember seeing them.

I rented an RV one year and stayed in the infield. It was awesome but also quite a trek from there to the festival so be prepared to walk everyday.

He was seen at the LAFC Inter Miami game the other week and was walking fine.
Zack said himself only 8% of his Achilles tendon was left intact from that injury. He also said himself that the injury was so severe it extends to basic functionality for the rest of his life. Glad to hear he's walking around, but he's not running and jumping around a stage.
