But nothing...and I mean absolutely nothing! Will ever compare to the storms we had in 2004! We all thought a tornado was gonna take out bonnaroo! The year of the mud people, tractors pulling people out of 3' deep mud and the nitrous guy just outside our campsite lol

this is like the tenth time i've told this story, but when we were leaving sunday in 2004, it was pouring down rain. i turned my car around to get into the traffic line and got firmly stuck in the mud. was absolutely miserable, drenched, it was dark. out of the sheets of blinding rain came an angel, looking tired as all hell, with a wench from his truck. he hooked it up to my car and pulled me out of the mud without saying a word.
i just kind of love that happened, specifically because he didn't walk up all smiles and high five fridays and love and light. he obviously didn't want to pull me out of the mud. but he had the ability to, he saw somebody in need, and decided to help. the action is more important than the feeling, and certainly more important than words.
That's awesome! Definitely a year those of us that were there will never forget! Those BLACK freakin' skies tho! We all were sure a tornado was gonna take bonnaroo!
It was also the year of the mud people! Seeing people everywhere covered from head to toe in thick brown mud, dancing the day away, was soooo much fun! I remember thinking "how are they gonna get all that mud off?"
