Both sound pretty good. Maserati is just an interesting pivot from Pigs. Heavy in your face metal+vocals to some kind of prog rock with no vocals? Will be interesting to see how this plays out on the pavement. Kind of wish they would flip them with Wine Lips.

I get them just booking a local act for pigs, but curious as to why they hid or didn’t initially book the spot of the original tba. I’ve got no fucking clue what 2007 is.

Took a listen to the 2 most recently added artists and I’m not very impressed. Not holding my breath that Kid Kapichis replacement will be any better. Bummer
*sigh* Hot Mulligan, nightlife (though they'd have to travel) or Whores would be great fits given the deadline. Arbor Labor Union, Beast Mode (Thrash metal though... so I have my doubts) and Warehouse (recently released a new single) could also work and they're local. I know people want Jeff Rosenstock, I do too, but I'm guessing that he was already contacted when Pigs x7 had to drop and could not.
I have my expectations for basically none of these bands and my general expectations are low but fingers crossed. I do not envy Tim.
Prices have come down so I’m considering this now. What should I expect if we stay through the entire Weezer set? I don’t mind being in the back of the venue provided but I’ve also never been to that venue so no clue if it sucks from that vantage point.
Also any idea when those shows usually end? We’d be walking back to our hotel (Hyatt Regency) so not too far but also know it’s likely to be pretty barren out there.

Not sure about the first question but from past late night shows I’ve been to they usually end around 130 or so. I got back to my hotel at like 2:15 or so, because getting an Uber was tough at that hour.
2 weeks out and no replacement yet. Gotta be a smaller or local band filling in. Just fly out The Frights and we can have better Weezer a day early.
Yeah, not holding my breath for anything good. I keep trying the other 2 adds, definitely not my cup of tea. Don’t we usually have food lineup and map by now? Maybe it’s just me but Shaky just seems “off” this year. I don’t feel like they’ve been hyping it up as much as previous years, and have been less active on social media.
RIP shady little oasis that was the Criminal Records stage. Funny how the map makes the new Ponce/Criminal side look so much bigger than the Peachtree/Piedmont side where 75% of attendees hang out. They’d do well to schedule the Ponce side (oodles of room last year) with bigger acts that would help even out the crowds. Peachtree/Piedmont last year was jammed from late afternoon on.
I like the shift for logistics this year given how often it looks like I’ll be moving between those two stages. Sucks losing the shade.
What I find interesting is they’re now maximizing this space and if I’m not mistaken they’re going to lose this space after this years fest. If I’m understanding this whole civic center construction deal. Any locals know if it includes this area or just the building site?
