I think so too. They are either headlining JLH or playing Coachella and my bet is on JLH.
They did play JLH in 2019 though. I was hoping they'd go at least one more year without repeats
true, but the 2019 festival might as well be a different festival completely. there are definitely some other headliners I'd like to see before we get into repeats, but YYY are probably as close as we get to the ideal headliner for this festival in 2023.

I'm not mad at YYY's headlining but just would have been nice to not get to repeats yet. I know 2019 was a while ago but I wouldn't call it a different fest, they didn't repeat between 19 and 22 (that I can remember) and kept very similar booking themes
Pavement I think is just as possible/likely from that Kilby lineup as a headliner
edit- for the record I didn't go to the fest last year, idk if the vibe was way different or something. I did go in 2019 and had a great time

I could see YYY's going either way for this reason. Definitely wouldn't complain since I was out of town for the Bowl show.
I know Vampire Weekend aren't touring right now, but they seem like such a logical headliner for this thing at some point.

Brian Robert Jones who has been touring with VW for a while (and IMO adds a lot to the band) is touring with Paramore this year so not sure if we're going to get any VW dates until the Fall at the earliest, unless they are moving forward without him (I hope not, he's great). But I do agree they'd be a perfect headliner for this
With the Kilby daily lineups are out, YYYs, Pavement, Parquet Courts, The Walkmen are all possible for this
Maybe it's just me but Parquet Courts seem weird for this line up? They would have to be placed higher up and weren't around during the time of acts like YYYs and Walkmen.

Obviously Pavement are a big deal, but would they move a lot of tickets as a headliner? With Interpol last year, there's still a lot of kids who are into Interpol, while Pavement's audience just keeps aging (plus 2022 gave people 10 months notice to buy tickets). I know they're headlining Kilby, but Kilby's also got two other headliners with more youth appeal, so they just strike me as more of a sub for JLH.

Pavement sold out pretty much every show on their tour last year, including like 4 LA shows. They are almost certainly bigger than Interpol at least
Dresden Dolls prob have a shot cause of their NYE show in Pomona. Add in Hot Hot Heat, Goldfrapp, Metric, Be Your Own Pet and the other stuff and thats a good day.
