Before someone mentions it, Freddy is NOT explicitly a pedophile in the original Nightmare and they don't really take a stance on that until like Freddy vs Jason maybe?

Friday the 13th really isn't that good. Like of the big 3 Nightmare vs Halloween vs Ft13th it's easily the worst. And Jason is only in it for like 3 seconds.

The only reason it wasn't explicitly made clear was because There were several child abductions at the time and the filmmakers felt that making Freddy a pedo was exploiting that. Still, I think it was made explicitly clear until the remake.
