serious question here, do y’all keep up with setlists on your phone as the show goes on or anything?
i’ve never been one to keep track and rather just hope to find it later on setlistfm so i’ve always wondered how people handle thay
Pre-COVID, I jotted titles in Notes on my phone if a) it was someone whose song titles I knew, and b) I wasn't close enough to the stage for the artist to see me glance at my phone periodically. I mostly stopped doing it in real time during COVID because it's a pain in the ass to have to type in my PIN every time because I was masked. Now, I just try to remember what I can.

Anybody got the Puscifer setlist? I was really curious what older songs they played, if any
I caught the first few songs from the pit, but I didn't know any songs going in. They opened with a song whose refrain was "shut the fuck up", and the theme of the performance (at least from the first few tracks I caught) was that they were like MiB on the hunt for extra-terrestrials. Not sure if that is specific to an album, but that's all I got. The music and the showmanship were solid, and I was thoroughly entertained, but nature and dinner called for me.

Not at Bonnaroo but when I used to do a fan site kind of thing (or just be in a fan group) for the small band Felice Brothers I'd keep track at shows. But that also requires knowing all their songs.
At roo and stuff I just tend to remember highlight songs and then hope setlist.fm gets them later.
I assume it's super hardcore fans, tapers (though not as much anymore), and video streams that lead to people getting the most accurate setlists. Definitely happens more the bigger the artist is

I did this for the first time ever at Bon Iver in Buffalo, because I was annoyed I couldn't remember the order of the setlist after the Pittsburgh show and no one had put it up yet. Not sure if I'll continue to do it and only worked because it was a band where I knew all the songs, but I love when someone else does it.
I recently started keeping track of all my sets in setlistfm, after seeing everyone talk about it on here. So, it's nice to know how many times I've seen a song or what I want from a show with a band that changes the setlist every night.

I have yearly concert playlists going back to 1994 that just contain the setlists from every show I saw that year. I’ve used setlist.fm to compile them, so I always try to populate as much as I can remember from every show I see. For shows that don’t have a setlist (or setlist is incomplete), I just use the “average setlist” feature for that year, which is generally good enough. (Yeah, I’m a little OCD about my music library.)
