J cole subbed in 2016 and was the worst attended bonnaroo ever. Now he is headlining and word on the street is this will be less attended than 2016. Has j cole killed bonnaroo?

I heard J Cole is actually paying people not to go to Bonnaroo and plans to just sit on stage mumbling, “This sucks” into a microphone over and over again during his allotted set time.

This actually seems preferable to hearing wet dreamz

Lol literally a top 10 rapper alive is killing this "white" festival? Smh.
I've only read 2 "greatest rappers alive" lists in recent years, one by Em and the other by The Game and both had J. Cole. He's pretty much accepted as top 10, if not top 5.
Maybe he's just a "rapper's rapper" or not for certain crowds, but he's near the top of the game...especially once you add The Offseason, which was a freakin cultural event, on top of his entire, already insane, career.

Tyler would be dope, but Kendrick is the only rapper on that list even close to his status. We're talking a very short list though. Rocky, alone, isn't close to it. Cudi is in his own little atmosphere and last time I remember him coming...1 hour before...we heard he got busted for coke and didn't even make Roo. Kanye vibes, which sucks bc I really like Cudi.

I agree. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand J Cole. The lyricism is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of rap history most of the bars will go over a typical listener’s head. There's also Cole’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they're not just fun- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike J Cole truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the delivery in Cole’s existential catchphrase "Cole World” which itself is a cryptic reference to the period of geopolitical tension between the United States and the Soviet Union. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Forest Hill Drive’s genius wit unfolds itself on their speakers. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Dreamville Records tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

No opinions of music, positive or negative, makes anyone an idiot.
Einstein reportedly hated Elvis and refused to attend a Madonna concert after seeing Donny in concert. And, in fact, Craig James DID kill 5 hookers at SMU.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
