I think post Primavera because of the smallest hope they add any acts. But at least next week Ill know if I get to cover the fest or not. Wonder if I get free parking.

Exactly. Plus, in 2018 and 2019 they released the set times about 7-9 days before the fest. So I expect them to do the same this year.

Just got back from Same Same But Different at Lake Perris. They don't use the land as well as Daze does. BUT their Coconut Club stage that faces the water during their daytime dance party? We are definitely missing that.

That sounds like a fun time, plus u can't go wrong with having a stage facing the water.
I bet we'll get the festival map around the same time as the set times, if not sooner (so maybe this week?).

So how were the grounds despite the rain.
Got lucky and missed the rain (only went Saturday for Emancipator/Tipper/Poolside/Brothers Macklovitch).
The grounds were great. Felt like being home. The bathrooms/ showers got a little tore up over the weekend and I hope someone goes in and gives them a substantial cleaning and restocking.
Our water refill station is lightyears beyond what they had, so that's something to look forward to.
The internet was exceptionally bad and all of the food venues had trouble processing credit cards. SameSame advertised as a cashless festival, but I really recommend cash for DD.
It seems like they had tent camping (no car camping) where the Block Stage usually is. If that's the case, hopefully people respected the land. It was blocked off though and I never went over there.
They had a stage by our main entrance and the ground had some dangerous, ankle-breaking holes. Very glad to not be dancing on that piece of land at the end of the month.

oh great.... I'm still dealing with the hole I stepped in a daze last year.

Lol I was thinking about that yesterday and that I'm finally back to full flexibility
This must be doing really bad, Loudie just gave out tickets twice today and I missed out on both of them. Hopefully I can score a comp to see tame.
Oh its way bad. I wonder if Do More will offer it next. Interesting thing is that they only did 5 pairs each drop. If they did 20 at a time then theres some desperation.

Isn't this the time though that they do lots of ticket giveaways, during the last 30-45 days? I remember winning tickets two separate years, in 2016 and 2018, which we then forwarded to friends/fam so they could go.
we say this every year about desert daze, then the fest happens and it has the same sparse looking crowd of a few thousand people, and then it happens again next year with another great lineup

So when it goes belly up after this then what. Theyre still trying to pay bands from last year but I guess thats perfectly fine from a finance standpoint in your eyes.
i have no idea what the financials look like, but certainly doesn't seem sustainable if they still owe bands from the 2021 version which i thought was the one most likely to make a profit. every year (since 2018) i see the crowd and wonder how they're making any money. last year was at least scaled down and lower cost.
every other year it comes back with a pretty similar scope of artists/genres so if the 2018-2019 versions didn't do well, why would they expect this one to be any different? either they already know this will be the last one at this scale and it's a gift to fans of DD, or 2018-19 actually did just fine so there's no reason to mess with the formula. and if 18-19 did fine, i expect this one to draw similarly with the same few thousand people out there.
if this was their last ditch effort to actually make some cash, well that's just silly because it might as well be the same lineup as 18-19. at least in terms of projecting financials.

Is this a fact Supre? Hearsay? This is the first I've heard that Daze owes money to 2021 bands/performers.

I’m going to revisit this post when they have presale for next year. This will not be the last DD. Really not sure where you’re getting this information about last years bands would love to be enlightened…

Looking forward to you “once again” revisiting this topic.

it is supre lame to make a condescending comment about me being "perfectly fine" with DD not paying bands as though i'm supposed to be privy to that info. you've contributed nothing to this discussion other than your own supreiority complex.

My band will play DD for free in exchange for luxury accomodations, plus all the pills, booze, and weed we can consume in a weekend. Supre if you can start negotiations please do so immediately.
