Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Should I try and keep a running tab in the OP? Obviously won’t be an exhaustive list but could help when looking for something to listen to.
I know there's something similar to this in the Album of the Month thread where they'll give a cheat sheet of upcoming albums for the month, but if it's not too much trouble to update the OP every now and again I'd definitely consult it regularly!
Cult Of Luna - The Long Road North [February 11th]
From Treblezine:
The album features guest appearances from Colin Stetson as well as, a little more surprisingly, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz from the French group Phoenix.
Another single from Caroline Loveglow's upcoming debut album, Strawberry, out Feb. 25, 2022 on 100% Electronica. Really looking fwd to this one, nice dream pop all around.
Probably the only person on this forum that’s freaking out right now. The Hated will forever and always be one of my favorite bands. They existed before I ever had a chance to see them but I bought everything I could find and then some. This came as a shocker this morning. Best fucking early Christmas present ever.
Assuming it’s a box set (and streaming) as that’s what’s been rumored for years. Here’s the first album because I’ll be on this for the remainder of 2022.
E: Just saw the reply. Oh FUCK. I GOTTA START SAVING.

So far, so good with releases this year. New The Smile & Let's Eat Grandma that were mentioned, and Father John Misty I'm sure most have heard, are great.
Also liking this new metalcore song from Vein.fm:
And folk/synth? song from Beirut:
as well as this Hardcore Breaks album from Nanoray, which like a cup of coffee for the ears:
The new Mydreamfever (aka Parannoul) album is a real chill piece of neo-classic as well, worth a listen for fans of his work last year.
Tomorrow is also a surprisingly stacked day for the first Friday of the year with new The Weeknd & Gupi. 2022 is starting strong.
I know the album technically came out in 2021 (December), but the vinyl & CD aren't out til another 1-2 months...Anyways this is a gem of an album by Failure, and been really loving this song as of late:
The new Weeknd album has to be my least favorite from him. A couple of ok songs but a step down from After Hours imo.
I like After Hours a tad more, particularly because Dawn FM has a really weak second half, but I wouldn't call it his worst album by a long shot. Sacrifice, the extended Take My Break, Out of Time, How D I Make You Love Me?, Don't Break My Heart, & Less than Zero are bops that more than make up for some of the weaker tracks in the middle. I think I overall like the vibe he's going for on this one better than After Hours. It's still got some of that throwback feel, but Oneohtrix Point Never and Swedish House Mafia really also gave the production a really futuristic flair. Feels like a mix of Thriller age MJ and Daft Punk... at it's best, though there's also a fair amount of filler.

I could see how some people would like it. The album has a big time disco feel, more so than any other of his. I like Take My Breathe and a few other songs, but personally, I prefer the style of After Hours a lot more. I'm also a fan of his earlier stuff, so saying it's my least favorite of his isn't necessarily saying it's a bad album. Just not my cup of tea as much as his others.
