who knows how the days will turn out but this is better than Roo and Gov Ball for my taste. going to a wedding that weekend if not I would have 100% been there.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
There's definitely a bunch of undercard names here that look cool because they haven't turned up on other lineups yet will assuredly be doing the Osheaga/Lolla/Osl/ACL run.

It's shocking how much better this lineup is than most of the other 2022 fests. Maybe all fall festivals will look similar, but seeing Dua Lipa, Charli, MCR, Wolf Alice on this lineup with some really strong undercard choices looks super good. I'd go to this over Bonnaroo any day

Not a huge fan but not Firefly's worst lineup. Was hoping this would be more like This Ain't No Picnic. I bought a ticket in the last presale though, so hopefully they can at least break this up decently over the four days.

also does really feel like a more curated lineup considering two pop headliners and two pop punk headliners. There are so many different options depending on what you like. While Gov Ball is definitely hip hop forward, that lineup feels way more like they took what they could get and called it a day. This lineup feels like they tried a liiiittle harder to make it cohesive

are you looking at the same lineup as i am?
i agree that it feels pretty cohesive
There’s a pop punk adjacent streak running from top to bottom, with Avril, willow, all time low, Manchester orchestra in the mid card all the way to mannequin pussy and chai at the very bottom
Likewise the indie they’ve booked is all pretty uniform (boring festival uniform ofc)
I can’t speak to the electronic but overall it seems like they kept in a few lanes with the booking rather than just taking whatever
When you have a single thats been in the top 10 for a long ass time it gets you places.
Wonder why Bieber has never headlined a major fest yet. Must be coming soon. Is he too pricey?
He just headlined Made in America back in September. If money was the only obstacle there are surely some festivals willing to fork it over. He has done some in Europe and got announced at Sziget this summer, though.
