That’s some aggressively female bookings.. isn’t the point of feminism is that men and women should be equal and equally represented. Too much of a pendulum swing imo
You wouldve been a hit when Lilith Fair happened 25 years ago.
Lilith Fair was a total flop in 2010 when they tried bringing it back. Some places only did 3-4k.
It did very well 97-99 but even then there were complaints of too many whiteys.

Even having a bunch of suckbag bands, I'm surprised something like this could have ever existed in Northeast Connecticut. They don't want anything out there.
I have to imagine this is either getting moved to a new venue or cancelled considering Harriet Island is literally underwater and there’s zero chance it will be viable in less than 3 weeks

This was announced awhile ago and the Roo email was for some special pricing. Hopefully ticket sales are not struggling because I was hoping to give this festival a shot in 2025.

awesome local radio station (steve shelley of sonic youth, pat sansone of Wilco, and andrew vanwyngarden of MGMT each have shows) that celebrates memphis music and culture puts on a music/arts festival every year in december, with the headliner(s) usually having some tie to Memphis. This year they got J. Spaceman and John Coxon doing a live score of Stranded in Canton (doc from local filmmaker) !! Super stoked that this little side project of Spiritualized has some Memphis ties and they are gonna come to my little town on their 4 show tour to do something. I'm seriously geeking about this right now.
Tickets secured for this beauty! After Arctangent in the UK this might be my favorite lineup anywhere this year. Gonna be a long trip as I wanna catch Russian Circles in Pittsburgh the night before. Anyone been to the Broadberry before? Is it gonna be a one stage set up?
Hinterland looks like a disaster, but also not surprising. They went big this year with the lineup (and of course the explosion in Roan's popularity just snowballed things), but looks very oversold and understaffed based on the videos and comments.

Just read up on this. There's a Chappell/Noah day? Oh this is gonna be fun to follow. (looks like they changed their policy to allow people to bring water today, but still, seems like a band-aid on bigger problems)

Yeah they couldn't even handle Hozier on Friday, Sunday will make Friday look like a DIY basement show

Yeah, tomorrow is gonna be something to keep an eye on. Gonna be rough. People are begging them to move the fest to a diff time of the year but thats impossible given the artist availability. I dont know how they think skimping on essentials is how you save money.

garageland is this one on your radar, or do you know anyone who's gone? It's way too late to make happen this year but I looked at past lineups and it just seems so enjoyable

It's been on my radar a few years now but have not made it happen yet. What I've seen makes it look like a very well run diy type of festival.
I haven’t been but I know a few people that went the Avail year and really enjoyed it. Personally, these lineups rule. There’s enough things you know to get you there and tons to dig into for research.
