It looks like we get Primus as part of their tour honoring Rush and playing "A Farewell to Kings" in its entirety. I hope that's the case. Super psyched for this...gotta get rail. Les Claypool said it was the first Rush album he ever heard and he became in instant fan, so its sure to be epic.
While instrumentally, I'm sure it will be TRANSCENDENT, Les does have to take the vocals down an octave since he doesn't have Geddy's range. That coupled with Les's "unique" style of singing, the results are... interesting

I’m hoping we get a healthy dose of Primus material in addition to the album play. I guess when you’re in a band for that long you gotta mix it up a bit for your own sake, but this just seems like an odd tour 🤷🏻♂️
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I have to admit, this lowered my excitement level some for this set. I don't expect anybody to be able to do what Geddy does, but...yeah.
I wish there were a way they could bring in a bunch of guest vocalists, but I'm very sure that's not going to happen.

isn't that album only like 30 minutes long? I'm guessing they play it through, then do the Primus hits

This is honestly making me more excited. Just feels like a show that’s gonna be talked about for years. Love Rush and Neil Peart so with his passing I think this is a great choice. I’m sure we’ll get plenty of good Primus classics like everyone is saying. Les is the mayor of Bonnaroo, they always have him playing a different project of his and this one seems fitting for this time. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve already seen Primus play a normal set but this is my most anticipated set this year for Roo.

i'd be happy either way, but i think it will be cool to see a special set from Primus. plus if they give them say 75 minutes, that's like half the set is FTK and half Primus songs. it'll be a great time.

I love Primus live but if they aren't doing a unique show, you can probably guess 75% of the setlist. This will be a great opportunity to get something different. Les Claypool on the farm is always a must see.
